UFC 300 will witness Justin Gaethje defend his BMF title against Max Holloway. The pair are set to lock horns for the first time in their career. Holloway and Gaethje are fresh off a victory from their previous fight and are high on confidence. Before the much-anticipated battle, ‘The Highlight’ appeared on the MMA Junkie show on YouTube.

While speaking to the host, Mike Bohn, he shared his thought process before his title defense. The 35-year-old seemed very confident about his chances of winning the fight. However, he did put forward his demand before UFC CEO Dana White. Let us find out what the BMF champion wants from the UFC head honcho.

Justin Gaethje asks for something huge before his UFC 300 fight

Since the announcement of the fight, the fans have been super excited to witness the battle. Both fighters have a lot of mutual respect for each other, which makes the fight a bit more interesting. Gaethje in his interview seemed very confident of his preparation and is confident before going into the battle. However, he did take the time to talk about his bonuses from his previous fights and also demanded a six-figure bonus from the UFC head.

The 35-year-old said, “I had seven or nine bonuses in my first seven fights. Got 12 bonuses and 12 fights. I’m hoping this UFC 300 card brings $300,000 bonuses and I’m always shooting for all those things. Was it 50 at that one? But I want to say it needs to be at least 100.”

Bonuses have always been part of the UFC and some fighters in the past have earned a lot. However, it will be interesting to see whether Gaethje gets his demands fulfilled. UFC 298 and UFC 299 also witnessed the fighters receive a good amount of bonuses. Let us inspect them.

How much did the fighters make at UFC 298 and UFC 299?

UFC 298 and UFC 299 witnessed some of the best fighters take part in the event. The fans not only enjoyed the event but also witnessed some setbacks. Former featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski received a whooping bonus of $750000 and his challenger, Ilia Topuria received $350000 as his guarantee, excluding the bonuses. Some other fighters included Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa who received $300000 and $250000, respectively.

UFC 299 also witnessed current bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley put on a show for the fans. He defeated his long-time rival Marlon Vera and defended the title. ‘Suga’ made a whooping  $42,000 as promotional guidelines compliance. 35-year-old Gaethje will look to defend his title and claim his bonuses. However, he has yet to receive any confirmation from Dana White for his demands.
