The queries around UFC 300 seem to never end. But one question is most persistent. What will the main event be? If Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier could have a say, he’d just tell us everything he knows. He has been a UFC insider for years now. First, as a fighter and champion of the light heavyweight and the heavyweight division, and now as a commentator and interviewer. Either way, he knows that now, it’s a part of his job to just know things. What does he know about UFC 300?

Everyone knows this now, Dana White has been keeping it quiet and no one else really knows what’s going on with the main event. The UFC head honcho promised an announcement within a week last week. Now it’s far overdue. Will an announcement come through? Here’s what beans ‘DC’ can potentially spill.

Daniel Cormier uploads plenty of videos on his YouTube channel detailing things around upcoming events. UFC 300 has been a hot topic for months now so one could say that Dana White building the hype and then just going silent has worked rather well.

However, now, maybe it’s just becoming a bit much with promises that weren’t kept. At one point, Nina Marie-Daniele was allowed to “oil up” Dana White if he didn’t drop an announcement in a timely fashion. And yet, it looks like he’s gotten away with it. Now we have Cormier claiming that he knows what the main event just might be. Is it going to be the return of Israel Adesanya like many fans believe? Or Perhaps Alex Pereira is back in the cage?

“So as I’m sitting here, still waiting, for the main event of UFC 300, which if I’m being completely honest, I have a pretty good idea of what it is.” ‘DC’ said in a recent video. “I am just not going to tell you. Because then I’ll get in trouble, you know the whole thing right? Lose your job, lose your money.

Nobody wants to lose their job. Not over not keeping the secret a secret. The former double champ also went on to explain how he thinks that the fight might just be bigger than all the other fights that have been announced for the card so far. But what does that mean for the whole card or the main cards of other PPVs?

How big is this fight?

Daniel Cormier shared his opinion on how the fight continues to “build” as we approach UFC 300 in April. The former fighter does believe that the fight is better than all the other fights that have been announced so far as it should be but let’s take a moment to calculate just how big it can be.

The UFC 300 card has Weili Zhang defending her title on it. It also has exciting fights such as Max Holloway taking on Justin Gaethje for the BMF belt. Fighters like Jiří Procházka and former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira are also on the same card. If that doesn’t tell you how big the fight has to be then what will? Surely a returning champion like Jon Jones or Conor McGregor could fill the shoes. Or perhaps, Alex Pereira trying to win his third title in the heavyweight division might just do the trick. What do you think about it all? Let us know in the comments.
