Justin Gaethje made a statement. He earned himself the BMF by defeating Poirier through a second-round knockout at Delta Centre in Salt Lake City. Before lacing up for the fight, he appreciated his opponent and said that the ‘Diamond’ made him reassess what he was doing inside the arena.

He said, “Dustin Poirier made me reassess what I was doing in there. This time, I was in control of my thoughts and emotions. Wasn’t caught up in the moment, the lights weren’t there, the people weren’t there, and that’s when I fight the best.” And that is what happened because he gave his everything and achieved success with his signature leg kick. In the video, he continued saying that the sport was all about ‘luck and chance’ and that he was willing to roll the dice any day.

He was ushered to the BMF glory through his rival, which he admitted in the video. Now, it’s time to see Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway for UFC 300.

Holloway has briefly taken up this fight, and the volume puncture is now pitted against the hard-leg-heating knockout artist. The Hawaiian fighter will need the best ammunition he has if he wishes to make the reigning champion fall asleep.

Both the fighters are coming off their wins in the previous two fights, but ‘Blessed’ would be eager to prove himself because this is his second attempt at becoming a champion in the UFC lightweight division.
