It seems Israel Adesanya wasn’t happy with just giving tips to Jamahal Hill ahead of UFC 300! The light heavyweight title clash between Alex Pereira and Hill at the historic UFC card has been one of the most highly anticipated showdowns at the event. Ahead of the fight, it was reported that Hill had reached out to Adesanya to pick his brain about how to approach the challenge of facing ‘Poatan’ inside the Octagon.

But apparently, that isn’t the only help ‘Sweet Dreams’ has gotten from the former UFC middleweight champion. In a recent social media post, Adesanya fired a salvo at his rival with a reminder of their history to possibly rattle ‘Poatan’ as he attempts to defend his light heavyweight crown against Jamahal Hill.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Israel Adesanya shared his thoughts on the UFC 300 main event. He highlighted the knockout power of both fighters and predicted, “I’m gonna go Jamahal by knockout, first two and a half [rounds].”

He also stated that he doesn’t believe Jamahal Hill is “scared”, going into this fight and highlighted ‘Poatan’s dangerous leg kicks as something that Hill will have to be mindful of. With the fight being scheduled for 5 rounds, Adesanya believes that it’ll be a “slow start” by both men as they’ll attempt to find their range and distance to land their shots.

He also proclaimed, “Jamahal’s going to try to get his fist to Alex’s head, just like he did with Johnny Walker.”  But he didn’t stop there as in a recent post on X, he shared, “A year ago I conquered a titan. This saga has strengthened my spirit and I am forever grateful. All you need is one shot in life, don’t throw and hope…you aim and FIRE!!!”

Pereira’s vulnerability to knockout strikes, particularly exemplified by his loss to Adesanya at UFC 287, adds an extra layer of significance to Adesanya’s recent actions. But ‘Sweet Dreams’ return after a lengthy hiatus due to an Achilles tendon rupture has also been pointed out by many experts as a cause for concern for the former light-heavyweight champion in this critical matchup.

As the UFC 300 main event approaches, Adesanya’s involvement, both in offering advice to Hill and in reminding Pereira of their past encounter, injects additional intrigue into an already highly anticipated bout. However, Alex Pereira has remained unfazed by his rival’s action as he recently confessed he was “glad” with Hill seeking out Adesanya’s advice!

Alex Pereira doesn’t care about the advice Jamahal Hill has received from Adesanya

In a clash of light heavyweight titans at UFC 300, Jamahal Hill’s reaching out for advice from Israel Adesanya hasn’t fazed Alex Pereira. According to an interview with Kevin Iole, Hill stated that ‘The Last Stylebender’ had, “provided some great insight”, drawing on his own clashes with ‘Poatan’.

However, the collaboration between his rival and upcoming challenger hasn’t caused Pereira to lose any sleep. In a statement made to UFC.com, the Brazilian stated, “I saw [Hill] was doing a video call with Adesanya. Honestly, it needed to be on video because if he goes over there to train with Adesanya, Adesanya is gonna kick his a**, break his leg, and he’s not gonna be able to fight, so I’m glad they did it over video.”
