Is Conor McGregor going to make his grand comeback at UFC 300? This question has haunted many minds day in and day out, and yet we lack a rock-solid answer to the forever question. Yes? No? While some speculate he’ll come back, others believe he’s out for good. Which one is it then?
‘The Notorious’ himself put out a video announcement of his next bout. It was meant to be June 29th, 2024, a middleweight bout against Michael Chandler. However, Dana White was rather quick to deny it when asked in a presser. Now, a former champion has this to say about McGregor’s return.

Conor McGregor has recently starred in a brilliant new remake of the original Road House film. The Jake Gyllenhaal starrer will be the Irishman’s Hollywood debut. And if former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse‘ Johnson is to be believed, McGregor might return to promote his film.
Johnson believed that the UFC might just lend ‘The Notorious’ a hand in promoting the film. In turn, this would also help the promotion’s numbers. However, how much truth is there to Johnson’s claim? In a recent video on his YouTube channel, he showed confidence in his ideas.
“I think they’re going to have him fight UFC 300 because they’re going to try to help promote that movie cuz it’s right about about the same time frame,” noted Johnson. Is time frame all that matters when it comes to making such an important return? There’s no way to tell.
There are some theories that work directly against Johnson’s claims. MMA insider Josh Thomson believes McGregor might not return this year at all. Meanwhile, Dana White has a lot of pressure from fans in a bizarre way. Will they “oil him up” if he doesn’t announce the UFC 300 bout?

It started off as a joke but now Nina Marie Daniele has joined forces with fans to oil up UFC CEO Dana White if he doesn’t announce the UFC 300 main event soon enough. In a press conference, White joked that the fans could oil him up if he doesn’t make the big announcement soon and now, it looks like they might just hold him up to it.

This leaves White no choice but to announce the main event this very week. However, so far, he has yet to tell anybody anything about the big headliner. ‘Nina Drama’ and her fans could be well on their way to loading up bottles full of oil. Will the UFC head honcho get oiled up by the entire fandom? That would certainly be a dramatic turn of events for the UFC. More importantly, is McGregor really returning? What do you think?
