Conor McGregor has yet again dropped a breadcrumb. Will the trail lead him to UFC 300 after all? There’s no way to tell with ‘The Notorious.’ McGregor has been dropping little hints here and there, but so far, they have all turned out to be misleading. Now, a new hint on his Instagram might just be the match that the fire needs.

The 2023-’24 Super Bowl season is about to have its showdown on the 11th of February. Dana White has already shocked the world by featuring in the Bud Light commercial for Superbowl LVIII. So what else can he do to shock the people? Here’s what ‘The Notorious’ wants from him.

Conor McGregor might just be Dana White’s favorite fighter in the promotion. McGregor, however, has been out of action for the time being, and all he does is demand a comeback. In a recent Instagram story, the Irishman further fueled the rumors of his return at UFC 300.

While Dana White has denied any questions about his return, McGregor remains persistent. This isn’t the first time he’s asked for a match to be set up for him. Now, he’s tagged White in his Instagram story with the wink emoji, drawing the attention of the UFC head honcho to a post.

“UFC 300? Super Bowl announcement” it reads on top of a video of White introducing McGregor to a raging crowd of people. Will it all come true? White has already poured cold water on McGregor’s earlier announcement where he called out Michael Chandler for a middleweight bout on June 29th.

White could be plotting around McGregor’s return. It could be a hidden detail but at this point, most people are convinced that ‘The Notorious’ is not about to come back at UFC 300. In fact, there are other names that are being expected to show up on the card instead.

Who will be the main event?

The teasing and speculation around UFC 300 is going out of control. Many have started speculating about the return of Israel Adesanya but how could he? A main event fight is usually a title fight per Chael Sonnen and Dricus Du Plessis only recently became the middleweight champion. His going straight back into camp to prepare for a fighter like Adesanya sounds like a huge risk.

So that leaves space for Adesanya to return against Alex Pereira instead. ‘Poatan’ did call out ‘Izzy’ upon winning his light heavyweight title and then ‘The Last Stylebender’ would go on to prank the fans by uploading a fake poster announcing his fight against Pereira at the pay-per-view. Even though that was a joke, nothing can be denied at this point. Will Adesanya actually return? He already seems to be in camp as UFC 300 approaches. What is he really preparing for?
