UFC 299 is just a few hours away, and the fans can’t wait. Some of the biggest names in the UFC are ready to battle it out inside the Octagon. Amongst these gladiators is current bantamweight champion, Sean O’Malley, who will defend his title against Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera and look to avenge his previous loss. But UFC 299 is going to make headlines for breaking Conor McGregor’s record.

Before the event, UFC CEO Dana White made an appearance on YouTube and talked about a major piece of information that might surprise the fans.

UFC head honcho is always excited before any event and UFC 299 is no different. He not only lined up some huge matches for the fans but also revealed a piece of very important information. While speaking on the Pro Wrestling and MMA show, he said, “Last gate was 12 million and we’re creeping up on 14 million for this one. So we broke our own record. We broke the arena record again and the economic impact for Miami last time we came was $47.7 million. So we plan on beating that this year too.”

While Sean O’ Malley has gathered a lot of attention lately in the UFC for his performances inside the Octagon. Benoit Saint Denis clears as to why he joined the forces before moving to MMA

Benoit Saint Denis is all set to take on Dustin Poirier at UFC 299 next. The hard hitting French has finished his last five opponents with ease inside the Octagon and is high on confidence. Apart from his fighting skills he is also famous for his background before moving to MMA. ‘God of War’ previously was a part of special armed forces and was involved in multiple high pressure situations in the past. However, he is now into a completely different profession and has taken the MMA world by storm. Before his clash with Dustin Poirier he revealed as to why he chose to be a part of the special forces.

In a recent ‘UFC 299 Countdown’ on the UFC’s YouTube channel episode he said, “When I was a little child I wanted to be a knight because the knight is the one protecting the weak. Then I wanted to be in Special Forces. it’s mostly counter-terrorism, protection of high-value personalities like the President, ministers [and] it’s also a help for the country, and you serve not only for yourself but for people, it’s something I wanted to do.” He also revealed as to how he wanted to be the best fighter and prove his worth.
