The UFC is approaching its last pay-per-view of the year with UFC 296. Scheduled for December 17th, it will feature two title fights with a few more exciting fights on the card. However, UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping seems to be more excited about the press conference, which will have talkers like Ian Garry and Colby Covington.
Press conferences really help garner excitement for the eventual fight inside the Octagon. As such, Michael Bisping believes that fans could be in for a treat as some of the best trash talkers are set to collide in less than three weeks. Let’s see what he had to say.

‘The Count’ has no doubts that the UFC 296 pre-fight press conference will be a wild one. And he did not mean that in any negative sense. However, Michael Bisping will not be there due to his commitments with TNT Sports.
“I actually wanna see that press conference. I won’t be there because I’ll be in England,” said the UFC Hall of Famer. He further added, “I would like to be at that one because I do believe it’s going to be quite the sh*t show of a press conference… I mean that in a good way.”
The first thing that came to Bisping’s mind was the verbal exchange that would take place between Paddy Pimblett and Tony Ferguson. Both fighters have a history of spewing venom on their opponents, which could make for an interesting back-and-forth.
“There’s going to be a lot of stuff being said, obviously. You got Paddy and Tony. Gonna be a lot of stuff getting said there,” said Michael Bisping. However, he is mostly looking forward to what the main event fighters will bring to the table.
HOF’er believes Colby Covington and Ian Garry “will bring it”
When Michael Bisping started talking about the banter that would take place between Colby Covington and Leon Edwards, he did not believe that ‘Rocky’ would be up for it. The Hall of Famer said that the 32-year-old isn’t one to trade too many words. However, when it comes to Covington, there is no doubt that he will try to get Edwards off his track with his words.
“You got Leon and Colby Covington. Leon’s a quiet guy. I don’t think we’ll have too much sh*t talk other than him being confident that he’s going to win the fight. But Colby Covington will bring it,” said Michael Bisping. He also did not forget Ian Garry‘s credibility on the mic, which will sum up a great year for the UFC. “And we’ve got all the Ian Garry stuff as well. It will make for a fun one and it will make for a bloody fantastic way to round off a spectacular year of UFC action,” the Hall of Famer added.

It has certainly been a great year for Dana White’s promotion in terms of the revenue earned. Similarly, the last PPV also performed well with all the main card fights ending with finishes. It remains to be seen what UFC 296 has in store for the fans since it will be the last PPV of the year.
