The fifth PPV of the year, UFC 274, will go down at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, AZ. The headliner of the night will have the lightweight championship up for grabs. The champion Charles Oliveira will go to the enemy territory – the hometown of the challenger, Justin Gaethje.

Apart from the main event, the card has some enthralling bouts as the penultimate bout will see two times strawweight champion Rose Namajunas look to avenge her loss against the former starwweight queen Carla Esparza.

Another captivating battle on the card will see lightweight stars #5 Michael Chandler & former interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson, compete to hold their ground in the division after coming off to multiple losses.

Historic Numbers of Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje fight

The showstopper at UFC 274 will see two of the most exciting fighters in the toughest division in the UFC go against each other.

The champion is riding a 10-fight winning streak in the division after going 10-8 in the first 18 UFC outings. The 32-year-old had a very early debut in the promotion in 2010. ‘Do Bronx‘ was an exceptional talent, who got tested through his initial days in both the featherweight & the lightweight division.

However, Oliveira was always an exciting fighter, hence his wins created historic figures in the UFC. Chiefly, in his last 10 fights, the Brazilian stormed all the UFC post-fight performance bonus records.

The lightweight champion leads the post-fight bonus at 18 with Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. Also, Oliveira has 18 finishes in the UFC, which is the most in the promotion. Besides, he has 15 submission finishes to his name.

As far as the challenger, Justin Gaethje, is concerned, the former WSOF champion made his mark in the UFC from his very first bout. In his debut bout, Gaethje collected two post-fight bonuses.

The legend of Justin Gaethje continued to grow against his battles with Dustin Poirier & Eddie Alvarez, which also saw ‘Highlight’, receive the Fight of the Night bonus.

The Arizona-based fighter has received a post-fight bonus in all of his bouts except against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254. Moreover, in his debut fight and a championship bout against Tony Ferguson, he received two bonuses.

In conclusion, Gaethje has 10 post-fight bonuses in his 9 UFC bouts, a record that the lightweight fighter is proud of.

With all the records that the two hold, they warrant the bout to create history. Thus, the two need to get compensated as per their performance inside the Octagon.

Since Charles Oliveira is bringing the belt, he would get PPV points for UFC 274, which appears to trend in the upwards direction as per social media numbers.

‘Do Bronx’ has earned a commutative figure of $4,177,300 in his long 12-year long UFC career. Apart from this, as aforementioned, the champ has the 18-post fight bonus to his name, which alone earned him $870,000 in his career.

The champion received a sum of $492,000 (including post-fight bonus & fight week incentive pay, not including PPV points) in his last UFC Octagon walk. Hence, Charles Oliveira is expected to get more than $500,000 for his next bout against Justin Gaethje barring PPV points.

Before coming to the UFC, Gaethje was already a big name. Hence, the UFC paid big bucks to get ‘Highlight’ in the promotion. And the Arizona wrestler didn’t disappoint and surpassed all the expectations.

The former interim lightweight champion, in his 9-fight stint in the UFC, has earned a cumulative pay of $3,230,500. It also includes his astonishing post-fight bonuses record, which earned him half a million as of now.

Gaethje’s last bout saw him earn $356,000 for his spectacular performance against Michael Chandler, whereas his highest career earning came against his double post-fight bonus performance against Tony Ferguson at UFC 249.

For his unification bout at UFC 254 against Khabib Nurmagomedov, Gaethje received $440,000 in a losing effort. Justin Gaethje would also receive north of $500,000 for UFC 274.

How to watch UFC 274: Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje

The card with two UFC championship bouts at stake is kicking off the month of May for UFC. UFC 274 will be available for stream on multiple platforms. Also, the timings will be different for different regions.

United States: The American audience can get on with UFC 274 on ESPN+ at 7:00 pm PST/ 10 pm EST. The prelims will be available at 8 pm EST / 5 pm PST on ESPN, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes. Whereas, the UFC Fight Pass is the go-to for the early prelims and will start at 6 pm EST / 3 pm PST.

Canada: Canadian fans can watch the main card on BELL, Rogers, Shaw, SaskTel, Videotron, Telus, Eastlink, and UFC PPV on UFC Fight Pass from 7:00 pm PST/ 10 pm EST. Also, the Prelims will be available on TSN and RDS from 8 pm EST / 5 pm PST, and the early prelims are available on UFC Fight Pass from 6 pm EST / 3 pm PST.

India: Indian fans will be able to catch up with the UFC, on Sony Network. The main card will go down at 7:30 am (Sunday) on Sony TEN 1, Sony TEN 2, Sony TEN 3, and Sony LIV (Both app and website) with an active subscription.

UK and Republic of Ireland: For UK fans, the event will be available on BT Sport 2. The main card will start at 3 am BST (Sunday) and prelims will begin at 1 am BST (Sunday) & the early prelims at 11 pm BST (Saturday).

Central Europe (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Finland, and Sweden): For these countries, the main card will air at 4 am CEST (Sunday).
