UFC 265 can be one of the best MMA events of the year. The event has a plethora of outstanding fighters competing, but people are most excited about the main event clash between Derrick Lewis and Cyril Gane. However, there are many other fights that promise to be entertaining affairs. One such fight is the co-main Bantamweight clash between Jose Aldo and Pedro Munhoz.

Aldo is coming into the fight after winning his last fight against Marlon Vera. Unfortunately, that was his first win after 3 consecutive losses. Against Vera, Aldo fought admirably and won via unanimous decision. ‘Junior’ is a former three-time UFC Featherweight champion and is often considered to be amongst the greatest featherweight fighters of all time.

At one point Aldo was undefeated across 18 fights spread over a decade. However, as the fighter is not in the greatest of forms recently, many expect this to be his last push for a UFC title.

Although, Aldo’s opponent Munhoz has also not been in the greatest of forms either, winning 1 out of his last three fights.

However, Munhoz has repeatedly proved himself in the Octagon. ‘The Young Punisher’ has an MMA record of (19-5-1) and has defeated fighters like Cody Garbrandt and Rob Font. Munhoz is currently No.9 in the UFC bantamweight rankings and, with a victory over Aldo, will look to move up in the division.

Jose Aldo vs Pedro Munhoz: Analysis
