Israel Adesanya will face Marvin Vettori in a rematch at UFC 263 this weekend. The duo previously fought in 2018 with ‘The Last Stylebender’ claiming a split decision win. This time the stakes are even higher as the champion will put his belt on the line against ‘The Italian Dream’.

Adesanya is coming off a loss in his last fight against Jan Blachowicz. ‘Stylebender’ moved up a weight class to achieve the elusive double champ status. However, despite failing in his bid to create history, he will be determined to prove that middleweight is still his division with a win this weekend.

As for Vettori, he is currently on a 5-fight winning streak in the middleweight division. Since his loss to Adesanya, ‘The Italian Dream’ has picked up 4 decisions and a submission win in the UFC. As Vettori strongly believes he won the first fight against the current champion, he will aim to leave no doubts on Saturday.

But this time, Vettori might start fast and get the first round over the champion with his pressure and takedown attempts. However, Adesanya’s takedown defense should eventually come into play as the fight progresses. This might leave the Italian exhausted and gasping for air later in the contest.

Stylebender‘ should be able to capitalize on that and eventually finish Vettori in the fourth round of the contest by stacking him up against the cage. The pressure later in the fight might just be too much for Vettori to absorb.
