Matt Frevola and Terrance McKinney will collide in a lightweight clash in the early prelims of the UFC 263 pay-per-view this weekend. Frevola was originally scheduled to fight Frank Camacho. However, an unfortunate accident for Camacho opened the door for the Dana White’s Contender Series alumni to make his UFC debut.

Frevola is also a DWCS alumnus. He fought and won his fight via submission there. ‘The Steamrolla’ has since won 2 out of his 5 fights in the UFC. A debut loss to Marco Polo Reyes was followed by a draw against Lando Vannata. He then won two decisions against Jalin Turner and Luis Pena. Arman Tsarukyan stopped his progress in his last fight at UFC 257.

McKinney, on the other hand, is an LFA veteran. ‘T. Wrecks’ lost his Contender Series fight to Sean Woodson in 2019 via a flying knee knockout.

The 26-year-old, McKinney (10-3) has 10 finishes (4 T/KO and 6 submissions) under his belt; Frevola has a record of 8-2-1 with 4 finishes (1 T/KO and 3 submissions) under his belt.

However, Frevola will be determined to get back to the win column after his disappointing loss to Tsarukyan in his last fight. He has been wanting to move among the division’s elite since his UFC debut. Unfortunately, inconsistency has been a major issue for him. However, a win over McKinney can certainly help his cause immensely.

Frevola might just be able to grind out ‘T-Wrecks‘ over the course of the 3 rounds and eventually earn a decision in his favor. But, it won’t be surprising to see McKinney win a round on his UFC debut.

Final Prediction: Matt ‘The Steamrolla’ Frevola by unanimous decision.
