Some know him as a movie star who dishes out blockbuster action movies. Others know him as a highly decorated martial artist. Michael Jai White is a name that is synonymous with both. A pleasant personality behind the camera, the action star sat down with djvlad for an interview on YouTube.
In the interview, Michael Jai White respectfully remembered Jerry Springer, who passed away on 27th April at 79 years of age, and respectfully. The interview gave us an insight into who he was when all the cameras were off. The news deeply affected White who was seen fumbling for the right words to say.

The interviewer asks White about his former co-star right off the bat. White, who had many fond memories of Springer, gave us a side of Springer that we were otherwise unfamiliar with.
“You did a movie with him“, pointed out the interviewer to which White replied, “Yes I did.“. “Ringmaster, “, the interviewer exclaimed. “Yeah, I did Ringmaster with Jerry Springer. Rest in peace.”, replied the action star and martial artist.
“How was that?” asked the interviewer curiously. ” Great. We had a great time, man. Uh, it, you know, the movie I believe had something to say. It was like the.. Behind the scenes, I mean, and Jerry Springer was just so like – he was just so, uh, open and transparent about everything. He [inaudible].. Deep cat. He didn’t take himself too serious either.“. replied an emotional White, fondly remembering Springer.

“Acting like a child” – Michael Jai White talks about Fast & Furious actor Tyrese Gibson
White has always been known to be blunt and honest. He didn’t hold back when it came to talking about fellow Hollywood star, Tyrese Gibson. The graph for the Fast & Furious movies tailed with every additional release and Tyrese Gibson kept having meltdowns on social media. Addressing this, the Hollywood action star said, “He’s [Tyrese Gibson] a grown man with a child who’s acting like the child.” The topic came up in conversation at the mention of ‘Baby Boy’, a flick starring Gibson. However, Michael Jai White’s opinion of that movie wasn’t flattering to the F&F star in any way.
