Joe Rogan is one of the most famous podcasters of the 21st century and has welcomed some eminent personalities on his Joe Rogan Podcast. But there is one debate that keeps on churning in people’s minds—what would happen if Donald Trump came into his podcast? The UFC color commentator has heard and seen almost every kind of experience, be it Terrance Howard’s scientific theories or Elon Musk’s dreadful prediction of AI and the future.

However, if the ex-POTUS who is good friends with Dana White and has attended UFC events, decides to sit on the other side of the table opposite to Rogan and speak, it going to be an iconic moment. The former POTUS, known for his bold persona, has always been a topic of fascination for Rogan and his audience. 

With US presidential candidates popping up on podcasts more frequently these days, the chances of Trump sitting across from Joe aren’t exactly far-fetched. Especially now that Elon Musk has hinted it might actually happen. According to an X account by the name of ALX had posted a screenshot of a Zero Hedge article titled, “Joe Rogan has 25 days to interview Donald Trump.”

And to his, Elon Musk owner of X Corp took to his X platform and replied, “It will happen,” making the possibility seem more concrete. Can you imagine the conversation? Pure gold. But here’s where it gets a little more complicated.

Back in 2022, Rogan was pretty clear about not wanting Trump on his podcast. He told Lex Fridman that it could help Trump’s presidential campaign, and flat-out said no to multiple offers to host him. “I’m not a Trump supporter in any way, shape or form. I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once — I’ve said no, every time.” So, case closed, right? Well, not quite.

In August 2024, during an episode with Patrick Bet-David, Rogan was asked again about Trump making an appearance. This time, he didn’t give a solid “no.” When Bet-David pressed him, Rogan replied a bit cryptically, “Maybe.” That single word opened up a whole new can of speculation.

So while Musk might be ready to roll out the red carpet, the fans seem to have a different array of thoughts on this scenario and are thinking different things. Since Trump and Rogan do share a history related to JRE, the situation of their interaction is not as easy as it seems.

Fans wonder if former POTUS Trump on Joe Rogan’s podcast is legit or smoke and mirrors

Over the years we have witnessed Bernie Sanders the 2020 Presidential Candidate of the Democratic Party, along with Dan Crenshaw, and Wesley Hunt appear in the podcast. So if Trump were to arrive on the show, it would not be such a huge shock for the audience. The 78 year old has been to Jake Pauls MPAULSIVE podcast and NELK Boys to discuss various topics.

However, the fans on Reddit are a little skeptical and one follower quoted Rogan and said, “If people tell me to have a guest on that makes me not want to have them on even more” Joe Rogan.” On top of that, there is a history between the ex-POTUS and Rogan. When independent presidential candidate and now Trump supporter RFK Jr. attended the JRE on August 8, Rogan was in support of him. He said, “He’s the only one that makes sense to me.” Trump was not silent and posted, “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024.” So clearly there is a small beef going on.

On that note, a fan wrote, “Also, why is no one talking about the fact that not even two months ago Trump went on a social media tirade criticizing Joe Rogan because Joe endorsed RFK Jr.? Wouldn’t be surprised if Joe is like fuck that guy he said I’m gonna be booed at my job.” Another netizen said, “Rogan has already said several times that he doesn’t want to have Trump on and that Trump has asked to come on before but that he declined the offer.”

Rogan had clarified his comments on RFK Jr saying that it was not an endorsement and it is clear that if they do end up talking in the podcast, there will be interesting discussions and maybe a simmering fire of feud scorching all of us silently. Elon Musk also supports Trump and is silently helping him for the second presidency and even pledged $45 million a month to fund backing Trump. On that note, the fans said, “If Musk said it, it’s not gonna happen,” while another fan said, “Hasn’t Elon been giving Trump tons of money? I feel like he could have some solid influence on something like this.”

One follower seemed excited about the possibility of aliens and wrote, “He better ask about the aliens.” While another follower was sure that Joe Rogan  might even endorse Trump and wrote, “At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Joe just outright endorsed Trump.” The closer we get to the elections the more these conversations take place and Rogan only has 25 days to decide on inviting Trump to his podcast.
