In a recent conversation with ‘The Schmo’, Rockhold spoke about his upcoming fight. According to him, Costa has been trying to push the fight further. The 37-year-old said, “Paulo Costa is pathetic. And kid needs to sign the contract and agree to the weight, agree to the fight, agree to the date, agree to the dance. And, let’s go.”

“There’s always been questions. It was July 2nd, it was July 30th. Now, this b*tch is trying to move it to f**king August. I would say, I am sick, I am tired of just f**king this sh*t.”

“I really want to beat that f**kers a*s, so we’re going to August.”

It would be interesting to see if the fight happens at UFC 277 in July or is pushed further. After all, it looks like Costa is still left to sign the contract.

Akin to the former UFC middleweight champion, the Brazilian athlete is coming off two losses as well. ‘Borrachinha’ suffered a loss to UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and went down to Marvin Vettori in his next outing that was marred by weight division issues.

Hence, the fight scheduled for UFC 277 can have massive implications on both men’s UFC futures.

Should Luke Rockhold fight Paulo Costa?

Rockhold will be back to the Octagon after a long hiatus; that too, opposite someone like Costa. ‘Borrachinha’, who is an incredibly tough opponent, has been actively fighting. Since Rockhold walked away, he has faced the likes of ‘The Last Stylebender’, ‘The Italian Dream’, and Yoel Romero.

Additionally, Costa wins most of his fights through knockouts. Hence, many people are worried about Rockhold as he lost both his last fights via T/KO.
