Matt ‘The Immortal’ Brown returns this weekend against Carlos Condit in a clash of two welterweight legends. Matt Brown was finished by Miguel Baeza in his last outing to the octagon.
Brown has graced the fans with some highlight-reel moments over the course of the years. Ahead of the legend’s return to action, we take a look at some of the best moments of his UFC career.
1. Brown vs Swick

Brown fought Mike Swick back in 2012. Halfway through the 2nd round of the fight, Brown landed a nasty left hook to drop Swick to the floor. He followed it up with a brutal ground and pound to knock Swick out cold.
2. Brown vs Means
At UFC 189, in 2015, Brown faced Tim Means. Towards the end of Round 1, Brown hurt Means with some vicious elbows. Means was forced to shoot at Brown for a takedown. Brown used the opportunity well and got hold of Means’ neck and subsequently finished him by way of a guillotine choke.
3. Brown vs Cope
At UFC 143, Brown faced Chris Cope. In the 2nd round of the fight, Brown caught Cope with a big left hook. Cope got dropped and finished by yet another heavy ground and pound by ‘The Immortal’. His opponent tomorrow, Carlos Condit, was actually headlining the card against Nick Diaz.
4. Brown vs Thompson
Brown fought former 2-time title challenger Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson at UFC 145: Jones vs Evans. Brown absorbed some vicious strikes from Thompson during the bout.
But he managed to land 5 takedowns to his credit that won him the fight. He came out with a decision victory.
5. Brown vs Sanchez

The biggest highlight of Brown’s career came in 2017 against Diego ‘Nightmare’ Sanchez. Brown managed to land a vicious elbow strike on Sanchez and knocked him out. The clip managed to make the highlight-reel of almost every UFC video that year.
