Amanda Nunes is undisputedly the UFC’s most dominant female fighter. The Brazilian has commanded the octagon since her debut in 2013 and has continued to deliver since then.

The 33-year-old became the first Brazilian woman to win a championship at UFC when she defeated Miesha Tate to get her hands on the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title.

After that, she also added herself to the double championship winner club alongside names such as Conor McGregor and Daniel Cormier, as she secured the UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship after defeating Cris Cyborg at UFC 232.

At the moment, Nunes is presiding over the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings as #1 and still keeps both of her titles as reigning Bantamweight and Featherweight champion.

All of her achievements have earned her the nickname “Lioness”, and rightfully so, as she continues to tear apart anyone who comes in her way.

Nunes (21-4) locked horns with Sara McMann at UFC Fight Night in August 2015.

The striker looked ferocious from the start of the bout and landed a combination of punches on her opponent to takedown McMann.

Grabbing hold of her opponent, Nunes took the opportunity and put McMann in a Rear-naked choke which McMann could not escape from.

This was Nunes’ 4th victory in the UFC and her victory earned her a performance of the night bonus.

Amanda Nunes’ 14 seconds knockout of Julia Budd

The Canadian star Julia Budd was one of the earliest preys of the “Lioness” as she hunted Budd down in just 14 seconds.

Amanda Nunes fought Julia Budd during her stint at Strikeforce. Nunes started the round with a low kick to the side and then continuously connected punches at Budd’s face, which downed her.

Nunes then continued to punch her opponent until the referee came in and called the fight.

This victory gave everyone a glimpse of what was to come and established Nunes as a legitimate contender.

Amanda Nunes versus Miesha Tate for the Bantamweight gold

Amanda Nunes got her first championship bout at the UFC against “Cupcake” Miesha Tate and she clinched the opportunity in the most dominating manner.

At UFC 200, Nunes started the first round by throwing knees and punches at Tate. The “Lioness,” then grappled her opponent and mounted her to put her in a choke and was successful at that.

Miesha Tate submitted in the 4th minute of the 1st round. This victory made Amanda Nunes the first Brazilian woman to win a UFC championship.

Ronda Rousey versus Amanda Nunes

Directly after winning the Bantamweight championship, Nunes entered her first title defense against the fierce and bold Ronda Rousey (12-2).

The fight looked tough from the outside, but Nunes made it seem like a piece of cake as Nunes, unbelievably, finished a stunned Rousey through a combination of punches in just 48 seconds of the first round.

This performance was truly spectacular, and it really showed everyone how Nunes was here to stay and conquer all.

Amanda Nunes finishes Cris Cyborg

On, probably, the most memorable night of her professional career, Amanda Nunes faced the legendary woman’s Featherweight champion-Cris Cyborg. The battle of champions took place at UFC 232 in 2018.

Chiefly, the fight was the most difficult and important fight of her career. And the “Lioness” did not disappoint.

Nunes knocked down the legend in the first minute of the fight. As a result, she became the first woman to hold two championship straps in the promotion.
