‘Too Young’ – Israel Adesanya’s Gym Mourns Loss of a Young Boxer

Israel Adesanya has been one of the most successful fighters in the past couple of years. In the last 4 years, he has only been defeated twice. This is an unbelievable feat and a brilliant track record to have. Although the last couple of days have not been too kind to him. He lost the main event of UFC 281 to Alex Pereira, relinquishing the Middleweight title as well. Further, he recently had to bid adieu to one of his young prospects from his gym.

Adesanya is a huge anime fan. Fans also know him as ‘The Last Stylebender‘, which is inspired by the anime ‘Avatar the last Airbender’. Perhaps he can understand the phase is going through in a better way, being an anime fan. As the protagonist always goes through a redemption arc, where he is battered, bruised, and loses everything close to him. Although, in the end, he overcomes all the adversaries and prevails once more.

This will be the 3rd loss he has suffered at the hands of ‘Poatan’. However, one faces the harshest challenge and toughest loss only while striving for greatness, and that was the case for Izzy.
