UFC megastar Conor McGregor’s life is far from what it once was, as it now revolves around court drama and mounting criticism. The Irishman, already navigating a rough patch in his career, recently faced intense backlash following a verdict in a civil suit. A 35-year-old woman named Nikita Hand accused McGregor of assaulting her on December 9, 2018, at a Dublin hotel. Last month, the Dublin High Court found ‘The Notorious’ liable to pay over $250,000 in damages.

Since then, McGregor’s empire has started to crumble. Business associates have cut ties with him, and several brands have distanced themselves, tarnishing the Irishman’s public image almost overnight. Many fight analysts and MMA pundits have weighed in, with some questioning whether ‘Mystic Mac’ will ever return to the Octagon, while others urge young fighters to learn from his mistakes.

Recently, UFC veteran Donald Cerrone discussed McGregor’s lifestyle during an appearance on BetOnline_ag’s YouTube channel. When the host inquired about the Dubliner’s ongoing legal issues, saying, “You’ve seen the allegations, you’ve seen the conviction—or not the conviction, but he was found liable for a s-xual assault thing going on there. What are your thoughts on him now?” The UFC vet chose not to address the matter head-on. Instead, he responded, “Bro, my man’s got millions and millions of dollars, running wild, being crazy, sometimes a little too crazy.”

While not directly commenting on McGregor’s legal voes, Cerrone subtly redirected the conversation, highlighting the potential pitfalls of the Irishman’s lavish lifestyle. Cerrone and the former UFC champion share history, having fought each other at UFC 246 at 170lbs. That fight came after  McGregor’s infamous loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. Amidst these struggles, UFC commentator Joe Rogan has issued a troubling verdict on McGregor’s future.

Many fight fans and MMA analysts attribute McGregor’s downfall to his party-heavy lifestyle, which began during his rise to stardom. As the Irishman reached the peak of his career, it seemed he lost touch with reality. Since suffering a broken leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, McGregor has made several attempts to return to the Octagon. However, he’s faced numerous setbacks, including issues with anti-doping agencies, business ventures, injuries, and more recently, a civil lawsuit verdict that has further complicated his path back to the UFC.

Meanwhile, UFC boss Dana White and the organization have distanced themselves from Conor McGregor’s potential return, opting to remain silent on the matter until things settle down. UFC color commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan, known for his straightforward opinions, recently shared his thoughts on ‘The Notorious’s’ future in the Octagon.

The Podcaster questioned whether McGregor would ever fight again, saying, “I don’t know if Conor is ever gonna fight again. I don’t know the real details of [the civil assault case]. I know his version of it, and her version of it, and what played out in the court… The reality is that guy’s partying, and he’s partying real hard, and he talked about it in the court case. He’s talking about c-c-ine.”
