Tony Ferguson views his family as his source of strength
One of the most violent fighters in all of MMA, Tony Ferguson is a family man outside of the Octagon. He has credited his wife for being the biggest support system in his life. The couple is also never hesitant to pose for a picture now and then on social media.
Ferguson also takes inspiration from his son in ways that are unconventional, just like most of the things surrounding him are. In his last fight his opponent, Charles Oliveira, tightly locked in an armbar. Many expected that ‘El Cucuy’ would tap, but he survived until the bell came to his rescue.
In hindsight, Ferguson claimed it was his son who allowed him to fight his way through the armbar.

“My arm is alright. The armbar was really tight. The thought of my son ArmandAnthony’s ability to be double-jointed in his elbow during that sequence and my mental capacity to endure pain got me through it,” Ferguson wrote as a part of a lengthy post on social media.
After riding a twelve-fight win streak in the UFC lightweight division, Ferguson has lost his last two fights. Even more alarming is the manner of his defeats. While Justin Gaethje handed him a brutal TKO defeat, Oliveira didn’t give Ferguson any chance to establish his authority en route on a unanimous decision.
