The ending of UFC 274 produced thrill and agony for many fans, as they saw their favorites go down in a blaze of glory. Justin Gaethje dropped his second chance to claim the world title, while history repeated itself as Rose Namajunas failed to triumph over Carla Esparza yet again. Lastly, Tony Ferguson suffered a brutal knockout loss at the hands of Michael Chandler, extending his losing skid to 4-in-a-row.

A loss never deterred a mixed martial artist, and it always enables them to evolve. While Gaethje and Namajunas’s grappling seemed a bit off, Ferguson showcased the best performance in the losing effort. But it is not the end of the line for the former UFC interim champion, as ‘El Cucuy’ is all set to bounce back.

The Ultimate Fighter winner has already found something new to do, as medical suspension keeps him out of the gym. Ferguson took to Twitter to break the news, as the lightweight fighter is ready to start his journey as a streamer on Twitch.

He said,ShoutOut to my Agents @vaynersports LL, S, C for Being Clutch Thanks for the intro to @VaynerGaming can’t wait to get started on @Twitch-Champ -CSO- #”

The 4-fight losing skid doesn’t really reflect the grueling wars and tough match-ups Ferguson has faced. The downward decline might leave an everlasting impact, but Ferguson isn’t done with 155 lbs division just yet.

What’s next for Tony Ferguson after UFC 274?

The past 4 losses have all come at the hands of top-tier competition in Gaethje, Beneil Dariush, Charles Oliveira, and Chandler. Either of these men can go on to become world champions, aside from Oliveira, who is already ruling the division. The 155lbs title is vacant at the moment and Ferguson still needs a dance partner.

All is not over for the boogeyman of the lightweight division, as El Cucuy can still pick up a fight with Conor McGregor. His ranking may have fallen down to the tail end of the top 10, but many marquee names are still available for the mixed martial artist. A fight with Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev would make the most sense and may allow him to snap the losing spree.
