Tom Aspinall is fed up and is done with Jon Jones ducking him. The interim heavyweight champion has been patiently waiting for his opportunity to have a unification battle with ‘Bones’ but the latter just does not seem to budge. Even though Dana White, has hinted that one of the biggest fights of 2025 might be Jones versus Aspinall, the best pound-for-pound is more interested in fighting Alex Pereria.

On top of that ‘Bones’ has already defended his title and won at UFC 309 last month. Back after the first time after a submission over Ciryl Gane, he won against Stipe Miocic in spectacular fashion. Following his UFC 309 win he was asked by Joe Rogan if the interim heavyweight champion could be the next opponent. Unfortunately 37-year-old did not give a specific answer. Speaking in a recent interview with YouTuber Alex Gonzalez, ‘Bones’ restated his comments about facing the interim champion. If the UFC wants to push the fight, they’re going to have to make sure Jon Jones gets paid a hefty amount.

On the other hand, since the heavyweight phenom is ‘ducking’ Aspinall, the Brit decided to brutally troll him this holiday season. This time though, the call out was hilarious rather than stoic, and Tom Aspinall painstakingly took up the role of a photo editor for the same. In a hilarious post, ‘Honey Badger’ uploaded a picture of a roasted duck and photoshopped Jones’s head on top of the duck. He captioned the post saying “Christmas dinner is served.”

Aspinall clearly had plans to ruin Jones’ Christmas in a funny way. This shot at Jones for ducking him made fans go into a frenzy and they commented on the post with their own verdict on the matter.

The pun and wordplay were pretty hilarious on the part of Aspinall and the fans loved it. They had a gala time commenting on the post and giving their personal opinions on who would win this fight. One follower wrote, “Here comes the Jones fans crying,” while another said, “Tom seems to have realized that respectful talks won’t get him into this fight.”

Another fan was determined to see ‘Bones’ defeat the interim heavyweight champion. They wrote, “Can’t wait for Jones to put this dons Lights out. He’s talking too much.” One follower could not control their laughter and said, “Aspinall is insufferable lmao bro has made his entire personality begging Jon for a fight.” This is not the first time that Brit showed his sense of humor while calling out Jones. Previously, after ‘Bones’ won at UFC 309, ‘Honey Badger’ posted a funny video on X and where Jones was saying, “Coming up with Jon Jones T-shirts, buying a little duck, just the little s**t that he does. He’s annoying to me. He’s annoying to me… The duck and chicken thing is kind of funny.”

Aspinall replied, “Which one is it Jon?” clearly calling out Jones on ‘ducking’ his fight and ‘chickening’ out of the possible matchup. Another follower commented in favor of Jones and said, “It will be very interesting if [Jon] takes the fight and sends Aspinall to oblivion. Then I wanna see what couch athletes will have to say.” One fan jokingly said, “Dude is in love with Jones.”

The callouts did not end here because Aspinall replied to a recent post by UFC. The promotion had shared a post on YouTube of an edited picture of a face-off between the duo. This time it was not the heavyweight champion’s arm that was edited but it was his height. When the Brit came across the post he was surprised and wondered what kind of substance Jones took to get taller than him. This was a dig at Jones for his recurring problems with banned substances. Tom Aspinall shared a comment, which resurfaced on Reddit. He was seen wondering, “What’s Jon been taking to get so tall?”
