Additionally, the British sensation is also being hailed by the pundits as the next contender for the world heavyweight championship.

Amidst such an intense buildup, another incident popped into the scenes. Well, Aspinall became a part of a YouTube interview as he was invited by the UFC legend Michael Bisping to his YouTube channel. Interestingly, he yet again spilled beans on how he thought about Jones considering the bout.

Well, the interview was focused on the subject of Jon Jones’ forthcoming fight with Stipe Miocic at UFC 295. It centered on Aspinall’s opinions about the match and his analysis of it. However, the conversation once more picked up steam when Aspinall made some bold claims about ‘Bones’ since he was asked by Bisping if Jones “can hold a candle” to him.

He said, I am mega confident and I just think I match up really well with him. You know I don’t think he saw anybody like me. I know he has fought so many legends before. I am not discrediting his resume at all, he has fought so many amazing guys. But I feel like I am completely different to anyone who he has fought before and I feel like I could beat him. 

Aspinall shed light on the fact why he could be a potentially tough contender for Jones if the bout happens. Without disrespecting the champion, he laid it straight that he was surely confident to fight Jones.

It said, “Tom Aspinall believes he is the one to beat Jon Jones”. The post had the caption, “I honestly hand on heart think that I can beat Jon Jones “. The second slide of the post quoted, “If he is still around when I get up there, I will be the first to beat him”.

It can never be simple for a UFC fighter to immediately establish themselves as a top contender to defeat ‘Bones.’ But Tom Aspinall made it simple without using any manipulation. He may have been courageous enough to criticize Jones verbally, but the future would tell if he has enough mettle to defeat Jones.
