Israel Adesanya and Khamzat Chimaev have always engaged in light-hearted banter ͏with each other. There was a time when Chimae͏v called Ade͏sanya a cash cow͏ for ͏the ͏promotion, suggesti͏n͏g ͏he would be protected ͏͏from him to be slaughtered. Regardless, both the fighters have been away from the Octagon for quite some time now and seems like Chimaev has found an opportunity to make fun of the former middleweight champion.

Israel Adesanya’s old grappling footage from his training has just resurfaced, and it appears that it failed to impress the undefeated 30-year-old. The video started with Adesanya having a light-grappling session with multiple people on mats and it ended with ‘Stylebender’ dominating everyone in it. Nonetheless, Khamzat Chimaev reacted to that video with multiple laughing emojis.

This is not the first time when Chimaev has blatantly made fun of Adesanya. While having a conversation on his YouTube handle, Chimaev called out Adesanya for a fight last year, “For Israel, there’s nobody there – only me. So if you spoke about money, if you ask the fans, they want to see me and Israel. I’m a bad matchup for him. Everyone knows he’s going to lose the title (to me). That’s why they save that guy.”

Khamzat Chimaev is currently hospitalized after pulling out of his match against Robert Whittaker because of an unknown illness. On the other hand, Adesanya is in the process of regaining his middleweight title, as he is most likely scheduled to clash against Dricus Du Plessis for the title fight at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia. A direct attack on Adesanya seems to be not working for Chimaev this time, as fans are not in the mood to entertain the undefeated fighter because of his pullout.

Fans roasted Khamzat Chimaev for his attack on Israel Adesanya

Khamzat Chimaev might be enjoying his online banter with Adesanya, but it seems like the fans are on the same page as him. Many UFC fans took to the comment section of the Instagram post to blast the fighter for attacking the 34-year-old. A lot of people seemed upset with the three-time Swedish national champion for repeatedly pulling out of fights.

Chimaev missed the opportunity of his life when he pulled out of his clash against Robert Whittaker as a win against him would have elevated him to the number one contender status. Pointed out Chimaev’s shortcomings, a social media user wrote, “Khamy needs to shut up unless he’s fighting. Dude talks online but won’t show up to fight.”

There was a time when Chimaev fought twice within a matter of weeks but now he is the shadow of his former self and COVID-19 had a huge part in it as after the virus, ‘Borz’ has been dealing with some health issues which always pulls him out from potential clashes. Taking a dig at the same, a fan commented, “I’m not impressed with your immune system”

Furthermore, a social media user reminded Chimaev that, unlike him, Adesanya is a multiple-time middleweight champion, and it would be better for him to stay active than commenting. “ones a former champion fighting in a title fight, ones in hospital and his best win is a a debatable decision agaisnt a former lightweight,” remarked a UFC viewer.

People also seemed to be a bit critical of Khamzat Chimaev as they called him out to take early retirement as he has canceled many fights. Well, if we look at the statistics, ‘Borz’ has pulled out twice when he was about to face Leon Edwards, and missed weight by a massive 7.5 pounds which forced Nate Diaz to pull out because of the difference, and now the Robert Whittaker fiasco. “This guy shouldn’t be yapping at anyone on the internet, dudes not even healthy enough to fight like always. Time to retire and focus on staying healthy,” a comment read.

A clash between Israel Adesanya and Khamzat Chimaev would sell faster for the UFC than hotcakes and a fan seemed to have the same idea, “Khamzat vs izzy is my dream match.” It’s true that Chimaev has 8 canceled bouts in his career, but most of them were because of the opposite party and not for him. However, this didn’t stop a fan from taking a dig at the 30-year-old as they wrote, “Bro already canceled 8 fights and still has the balls”
