Joe Rogan is a fitness freak. He eats elk meat from elks he hunts, takes daily ice plunges, takes testosterone, and works out religiously. This is why the podcaster is ripped at 55. Bert Kreischer, not so much. Once named ‘biggest party animal’ in America by Rolling Stone magazine, the 50-year-old sports a dad bod and is an alcoholic who drinks 6–8 drinks every day and double or triple that on weekends.

So, when Kreischer challenged Joe to prove who could do more pushups, the result seemed foregone. However, there was a little hitch that surprised fans.

On a ‘Sober October’ episode last year, Kreischer challenged Joe to a pushup contest, which the Boston native accepted. Rogan was joined by comedian and friend Ari Shaffir, Tom Segura, and Kreischer.

Sober October is a challenge that Joe and a few of his comedian friends take part in annually. It entails participants remaining Sober for the month of October to help detoxify and cleanse their bodies and mind, and raise money for charity.

During the episode, Kreischer questioned who among them could do the most pushups among those present.“Who do you think could do more push-ups now in a row?” Kreischer asked.

To which a confident Rogan asserted, “Definitely me,” and offered to double however many potshots Kreischer can do. Sure, whatever you do, I’ll double,” Joe said.

Shaffer managed 15 proper push-ups. He was followed by Bert Kreischer, who did 33, which Rogan claimed were half push-ups and, thus, should not count. Joe went next and claimed he could do 80, but was only able to do 75 pushups, still blowing his competition out of the water.
