Elon Musk has, once again, reiterated his desire to fight Mark Zuckerberg. Talks of their potential fight started when Musk issued a challenge to the Meta CEO earlier this year, to which the latter agreed. However, after some back-and-forth, the bout was canceled as ‘Zuck’ accused Musk of not being serious and said that it was time to move on to serious opponents.

But, the Tesla CEO claimed it was Zuckerberg who had “chickened out” on his latest JRE appearance. He added that while he would like the fight, the fight would not be fair as Musk is bigger and thus in a different weight class than Zuckerberg. On hearing this, Joe Rogan suggested a venue that Musk agreed to at once, calling it “the best in the world”.

During their conversation, the two men got to talking about The Sphere in Las Vegas. It is a music and entertainment arena that has gives audiences a fully immersive experience. The podcast host suggested that Musk fight Zuckerberg there, comparing it to the iconic and ancient Coliseum in Rome. The latter is a wonder of the world and was the venue for various gladiatorial games in the heyday of ancient Rome, arguably the greatest empire in the history of the world.

That’s the venue [The Sphere in Las Vegas]. That’s where it needs to go down. That’s even better than the Coliseum. Especially if the United States falls. That would be our Coliseum. This would be our Rome. Vegas will be our Rome.

Musk, already a fan of the Las Vegas venue after visiting it recently, agreed that it did remind him of the Coliseum. “I mean, the sphere did remind me of being a modern day Coliseum,” Musk told the podcast host.

Rogan continued and drew comparisons between The Sphere and Rome and Vegas to the final days of Rome, before it collapsed, when it was famous for the self-indulgence and extravagance of its ruling class.

“Yeah, a modern day version. Like what they would do with our technology currently. And then Vegas is like Rome-esque in the sense that we think about like the hedonism of Rome, [in] its final days,” Rogan added. On the subject of the fight, Rogan also said something that would not have made Musk happy.

Rogan praises Zuckerberg in front of Musk

Musk promised Rogan that he would be willing to fight Zuckerberg anytime, anywhere, under any rules. The podcast host appreciated Musk for his willingness to do it. However, he also gave props to his CEO friend’s nemesis and praised Zuckerberg. “I like the fact that Zuck’s interested, too. I like the fact he trains so much,” Rogan said.

Despite these claims by Musk on Rogan’s podcast, most are not taking his claims or challenges seriously as he is known to make strong, unsubstantiated claims and backing out later. Despite his allegations, the evidence points to Zuckerberg being correct and Musk not taking the fight seriously as the reason it was cancelled. What do you think about Musk’s claims to Joe Rogan?
