The TKO Group has seemingly entered into a multi-million-dollar partnership with Mark Zuckerberg‘s Meta, which is now the UFC’s first-ever “fan technology partner,” as announced by Dana White through his social media handle. The 55-year-old claims that this partnership will revolutionize the way fans watch UFC content, as Mark Zuckerberg’s company plans to make use of all its platforms to provide a unique experience for the fans, but the fans don’t seem too thrilled about it.
“UFC and Meta just signed a massive long-term partnership. Meta will now become UFC’s first-ever official fan technology partner. This is great news for UFC fans because this means that Meta will use all of their bada– apps and technology on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, WhatsApp, and Meta AI to create amazing content and experiences for UFC fans,” Dana White stated in a video on X.
Furthermore, the UFC CEO has also confirmed that the new AI ranking that he was talking about is on the verge of being ready to use. He had been calling for the use of artificial intelligence for years now, as just last year, the 55-year-old blasted the media for their ‘incompetence’ when it comes to sorting out the rankings. For this, Dana White is also working with Mark Zuckerberg & Co. to introduce the technology sometime later in 2025.

“We’ve already started to work with Meta to create a new fighter ranking system that will debut later this year… We’ll also be using Meta’s AI-powered glasses to capture UFC content, and we will do things with Meta that will blow UFC fans away,” Dana White added.

Fans left unimpressed with Dana White after UFC-Meta partnership announcement
Well, one fan claims not to have been surprised by this announcement, claiming Joe Rogan was prepping up ‘Zuck’ for this eventual partnership.“Now we know why [Joe Rogan] has been helping Zuckerberg rehab his image,” that fan added. It is a pretty thought-provoking statement given that Zuckerberg recently made a JRE appearance just over a couple of months ago.
Meanwhile, one fan blatantly expressed having more interest in good fights rather than the introduction of AI in the UFC. “FOCUS ON BOOKING GOOD FIGHTS FOR GOD SAKE,” they added, while another fan claimed, “No one cares, announce JON JONES V TOM ASPINAL,” expressing their interest in wanting the heavyweight title unification match. Some fans have also started wondering what the ticket and PPV prices could be for future events after this new partnership, as one X user called for Dana White to adjust the pricing for the fans. “Watching UFC fights is too expensive. Make a deal to make it more affordable,” the fan commented.

On the other hand, there were a lot of fans who carried anti-Meta sentiment, with one fan claiming, “Nobody uses meta”. Another fan warned Dana White about the potential consequences of partnering with Mark Zuckerberg: “META is a wolf in sheeps clothing. As soon as Trump is out, you will see. This will NOT go well for UFC fans IMO,” the fan said while expressing his concern for UFC’s future. Meanwhile, there was one fan who had just one thing to say after hearing this news of the partnership, which is: “Oil up dana.”
