“This Strike Affects Us All”- George Clooney, Matt Damon, and MCU Star Joined by Michael Jai White and Wife Demanding “Integrity” and “Compassion” At SAG-AFTRA Strike

Hollywood MMA icon Michael Jai White has always been quite vocal about his views. And so has his wife Gillian. The duo recently made headlines when a video of them grooving to music at a party went viral. But the baffling part was – both Mr. and Mrs. White were donning matching “Black Dynamite” costumes.

What’s more – the duo has again drawn the spotlight on them, thanks to Gillian’s most recent post on Instagram. In a series of images and videos posted by Mrs. White, fans get to see the couple joining the SAG-AFRA strike that’s currently crippling Hollywood. This strike is born out of discontent among writers and actors – about adequate pay and streaming residuals.

As of now, the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists(SAG-AFTRA) has already joined hands with the Writers Guild of America (WGA) in the strike. Many artists claim mistreatment and inadequate compensation from production houses and studios. The strike is being headlined by A-listers and actors like George Clooney, MCU’s ‘Hulk’ Mark Ruffalo, John Cusack, and, of course, Michael Jai White and his belonged spouse, Gillian.

Ever since the WGA members realized their contracts have expired, they have been on strike demanding better wages. What’s more – Hollywood top guns joined the WGA strike after a deal between SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television fell apart.

Now, in the post uploaded by Mrs. White, she shares a heartfelt message to all fans and fellow actors and writers who have stood up against the crisis. Gillian is an esteemed union member of SAG-AFTRA for 28 years. Moreover, in this crisis, she expressed her unwavering support for fellow actors and writers in her post.

She emphasized that the strike impacts not only actors and writers but also every individual involved in bringing movies and TV shows to life, including electricians, lighting, sound, set design, costumes, hair and makeup, and stunts. Gillian called for integrity and compassion, highlighting the importance of doing what’s right – in the face of greed.
