Jung Chan-sung, better known as The Korean Zombie to fans, is one of the most exciting fighters. He is also considered among the greatest featherweights in UFC history. The 36-year-old gained his nickname due to his incredible zombie-like capacity to endure and fight on despite absorbing significant damage.
And, following his last UFC fight against former champion Max Holloway, he found himself unable to hold back tears. This emotional release was prompted by a special gesture from the UFC and the fans.
The Korean Zombie gets emotional in loss to Max Holloway

In his retirement fight against Holloway at UFC Fight Night 225 in Singapore, the Korean Zombie suffered a third-round loss to the American. The Korean came out swinging and was able to wobble Holloway early in the fight. The Hawaiian came back in the second round and attempted a submission. The third saw a furious exchange between the two. ‘Blessed’ caught Zombie with a brutal right that knocked out the Korean.
His signature song- ‘Zombies’ by ‘The Cranberries’ was played after the loss in the arena. The fans joined in to the song, in an attempt to express their appreciation for Zombie. The Korean couldn’t control his emotions and briefly broke into tears at this gesture.
