Now, in a recent update shared to X, Dwayne Johnson, and Oprah Winfrey have come up with an outlet.

The pair teamed up and released a video on X sharing details about a new relief fund. The video features the iconic talk show host and actress Oprah Winfrey and WWE superstar and actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson discussing the relief fund and establishing its effectiveness in helping those affected. Winfrey said, “And I read this article that Dolly Parton had given money in her community. And I said, I think this is the answer.” She elaborated, “And so we have created the People’s Fund of Maui that will put money directly in the hands of the people who need it right now.”

The Rock said, “I know a lot of people out there as Oprah and I’ve been finding, are just, having a hard time trusting where the money goes; What organizations should I send money to? How can I help?” The fund seems to come as a straightforward solution that addresses these questions and doubts according to Johnson. He said, “In this case, the fund that we created with a lot of hard work from a lot of hardworking people, who all care about these people of Maui.”
