However, in a fresh development, a weekly podcast released a ‘spooky’ episode where an AI version of Joe Rogan interviews an AI Steve Jobs.

‘Podcast.ai’ developed this interesting episode. They specialize in exploring new topics solely through the use of artificial intelligence. For this episode, the team created AI versions of Rogan and Jobs. It was based on existing data available on the two personalities.

Fans unsettled by the AI-generated conversation between Joe Rogan and Steve Jobs

The team that developed the AI conversation explained the process behind it. After studying Jobs’ biography and recordings online, the AI created a version of him. The technology and the process behind this AI-rendered interview are groundbreaking. However, this information has mixed reactions from the fans.

A lot of fans expressed their concern with rapidly advancing technology after they released this AI interview.

Quite a lot of fans found this technology ‘scary’ and capable of malicious use.

While there were those that recounted its potential to be misused and how it might devalue actual human conversations, some others found the technology rather impressive.

Some fans pointed out how the interview was not a perfect rendition but still expressed their amazement at the effort and the result.

An article on the subject further elaborated on the creative process behind the achievement. The AI found keywords from entire paragraphs and then found actual quotes on the topic. Therefore, the AI did not generate new responses altogether.

The aim was to simulate an actual conversation between Joe Rogan and Steve Jobs. Judging by the fans’ reactions, the AI found some success despite the podcast sounding ‘scary’ and ‘creepy’.

Rogan talked about artificial intelligence with Brian Cox

In an older JRE episode, Rogan and physicist, Brian Cox discussed Artificial Intelligence and the fear surrounding it. Rogan admitted to Cox that Elon Musk scared him about AI. He said that, according to Musk, humanity was at the beginning of a bad sci-fi movie.

Cox explained that Artificial General Intelligence, or AGI, which is more humanlike, was something we are still far away from. He affirmed that at the moment, AIs were expert, focused systems that did particular things. However, one needed to be afraid of them in a limited economic sense, said Cox. Further, these AI systems could replace a lot of middle-class white-collar jobs, he said.
