Joe Rogan hosts one of the most popular podcasts out there with ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘. The show hosts a variety of guests who discuss a wide range of topics with Rogan. However, in a fresh development, a weekly podcast released a ‘spooky’ episode where an AI version of Joe Rogan interviews an AI Steve Jobs.
‘Podcast.ai’ developed this interesting episode. They specialize in exploring new topics solely through the use of artificial intelligence. For this episode, the team created AI versions of Rogan and Jobs. It was based on existing data available on the two personalities.

Fans unsettled by the AI-generated conversation between Joe Rogan and Steve Jobs
The team that developed the AI conversation explained the process behind it. After studying Jobs’ biography and recordings online, the AI created a version of him. The technology and the process behind this AI-rendered interview are groundbreaking. However, this information has mixed reactions from the fans.
The scary thing isn't that you did this, it's that this tech is going to be used for very bad things.

A lot of fans expressed their concern with rapidly advancing technology after they released this AI interview.
Scary stuff. Wonder if it’s only a matter of time before this not only becomes as valuable as a real interview would have been, but more valuable than a real interview would have been…

Quite a lot of fans found this technology ‘scary’ and capable of malicious use.
AI podcasts are scary. Imagine an AI politics podcast where the generation prompt is "Talking Points" of an extremist group. They dig in to content with emotional value rather than objective truth, so imperfect content will still work as long as it uses the right buzz words.

While there were those that recounted its potential to be misused and how it might devalue actual human conversations, some others found the technology rather impressive.
this is terrifying

This is absolutely insane. I clicked to listen for a few seconds, and could not turn it off through the whole thing. If this was truly #AIgenerated, it could change everything.

Some fans pointed out how the interview was not a perfect rendition but still expressed their amazement at the effort and the result.
Amazing on some levels, for sure. Not a great interview yet though. Superficial phrases strung together. Soon enough, something profound, perhaps.

An article on the subject further elaborated on the creative process behind the achievement. The AI found keywords from entire paragraphs and then found actual quotes on the topic. Therefore, the AI did not generate new responses altogether.

In an older JRE episode, Rogan and physicist, Brian Cox discussed Artificial Intelligence and the fear surrounding it. Rogan admitted to Cox that Elon Musk scared him about AI. He said that, according to Musk, humanity was at the beginning of a bad sci-fi movie.
Cox explained that Artificial General Intelligence, or AGI, which is more humanlike, was something we are still far away from. He affirmed that at the moment, AIs were expert, focused systems that did particular things. However, one needed to be afraid of them in a limited economic sense, said Cox. Further, these AI systems could replace a lot of middle-class white-collar jobs, he said.
