The world is celebrating Eid, but the longtime manager of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dominance MMA’s Ali Abdelaziz, is not having a good one. The 45-year-old took to Twitter to address a grievance that befell him during the holy celebration. Interestingly, it involves Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

Ali Abdelaziz is a rather polarizing figure in the MMA community. The Egyptian has a knack for getting into spats with opponents of his fighters. His bad blood against Conor McGregor from the Irishman’s rivalry with Nurmagomedov is still going strong. Abdelaziz also has a notable social media presence, but it took a serious hit thanks to Musk’s new policies on Twitter. Therefore, the Dominance MMA head took to Twitter to air his frustrations.

Ali Abdelaziz expresses frustration with Elon Musk

Like many Twitter users, Ali Abdelaziz also lost his blue check on Twitter after the social media platform did away with legacy checkmarks in a recent development. Many MMA fighters also responded to the issue. Some of them explicitly stated they would not be paying for the blue check. Abdelaziz was also one of the people disappointed with Twitter’s decision. A longtime verified user on Twitter, the 45-year-old addressed the billionaire CEO of the social media giant on losing the blue check.

He wrote in a tweet, “Hey @elonmusk today is Eid for Muslims around the world and you took away my blue check? This is my gift?”

While Abdelaziz may have been joking, there have been rampant complaints from Twitter users that this move will only increase impostors on the platform.

However, Abdelaziz was not the only member of the MMA community who reacted to the recent development.

MMA world reacts to the latest Twitter update

Popular MMA stars like Charles Oliveira and Derek Brunson were among those that lost their blue checks. Some of these stars acknowledged the situation and let the fans know that it was indeed their own account.

Oliveira wrote, “Without further checking Charlinho here huh… No blue mark but it’s Oliveira here…” Meanwhile, Derek Brunson joked he would not pay for the verification despite being a billionaire.

Welterweight star Gilbert Burns also tweeted at Musk after losing the blue check.
