UFC returned to San Diego with a UFC Fight Night show that came after nearly 7 years. The co-main event bout was between featherweight prospect David Onama and veteran Nate Landwehr. After suffering an early adversary, ‘The Train’ had all the answers for the young prospect. Landwehr (34) defeated the 28-year-old Uganda-born fighter via majority decision.

The Glory MMA and Fitness gym representative, Onama, was on a two-fight win streak after losing his debut bout. Both victories came by finishes. Even Landwehr finished his last bout. And after a couple of cancelations, the MMA MASTERS product finally showcased how exciting a Nate ‘The Train’ Landwehr bout could be.
The bout was swinging the whole time like a pendulum. Onama dominated the initial part of the first round. However, the tide turned a big way in the second round. And the third round had multiple swinging moments. But in the end, the veteran got the decision, but fans saw no losers in the bout.
As they announced the winner, the San Diego crowd gave a round of applause to both fighters, who ‘showed up’ inside the Octagon.
‘The Train’ also gave a chilling Octagon interview, as Daniel Cormier couldn’t stop but have a big smile on his face the entire time. The total package had the crowd in attendance going wild.
Fight fans react to UFC San Diego co-main event
The chaotic bout had the MMA world mesmerized. The high-paced bout enthralled pound-for-pound king Kamaru Usman to a lightweight contender, Michael Chandler. Fight fans witnessed a potential fight of the year and posted their reactions on social media.

Landwehr is nuts. Suddenly this is a fight again. And Onama may have lost a little steam at the end of that round.

Rule number 1…don’t punch yourself out against Nate The Train. This fight is fun. Onama’s crisp striking. Nate’s gas tank. #UFCSanDiego

Onama's body language was a little scary in between rounds. I personally don't think he should be fighting anymore.
