Joe Rogan has never shied away from speaking his mind, even when his opinions spark controversy. The UFC color commentator, known for his outspoken nature, has often criticized aspects of modern culture, including what he describes as the excesses of “woke” ideology. Recently, Rogan took aim at a new target: Jaguar, the British luxury automaker, and its latest advertisement, which has stirred mixed reactions.
On the Thanksgiving edition of the Joe Rogan Experience (#2236), featuring comedians Mark Normand, Shane Gillis, and Ari Shaffir, Rogan discussed Jaguar’s polarizing ad campaign. The commercial, intended to usher in a new era for the automaker, drew criticism from figures like Elon Musk and commentator Josh Rom, both of whom questioned its effectiveness in promoting cars. Musk humorously tweeted, “Do you sell cars?” encapsulating the confusion many feel about the ad’s messaging.
Rogan echoed similar sentiments, calling the advertisement “weird” and accusing Jaguar of pushing a political ideology rather than focusing on selling vehicles. He quipped, “That just killed Jaguar like Kid Rock killed Bud Light. You didn’t see the Jaguar ad? This is reliable, unlike ABC News. The guy gives a speech like it’s four years ago, in the throes of the f*** BLM movement, like peak woke times. He should be wearing a mask when he gives that speech.”

For the unversed, the ad is part of Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) ambitious Reimagine strategy, which aims to reinvent the iconic brand with a focus on sustainability and innovation. The company plans to transition to an all-electric lineup, leaving behind its traditional models in favor of a fully battery-electric vehicle (BEV) range.
Not only Rogan but Josh Rom joined the bandwagon and displayed the same sentiment. The Royal commentator stated, “It’s just promoting a brand, but a brand of what? As far as adverts go, they’re meant to sell, aren’t adverts meant to sell products? This wasn’t selling anything.”
Rogan not only gave his opinion about the Jaguar ad but also spoke about ABC’s The View co-host Joy Behar’s disrespectful remarks about him. Let’s see what he had to say.

Joe Rogan gets candid about Joy Behar’s remarks about him
Joe Rogan is no stranger to clashing with media personalities, and his recent exchange with Joy Behar is no exception. Responding to Behar’s misunderstanding of an old podcast clip, Rogan addressed the situation during a recent episode. He explained, “Like, you didn’t listen to what I said. You didn’t listen to what the wildlife biologist said. And that’s only part of what he said. The other part was when he was explaining encounters with giant reptiles.” To emphasize his point, Rogan played the clip for his guests, highlighting the misinterpretation.
Rogan also aimed what he described as Behar’s concerns about the rise of podcasts replacing traditional TV talk shows. He remarked, “You’re worried about losing your job, and you’re worried about podcasts taking over, about who’s the source of news. And we said Donald Trump was Hit**r, but half the country disagreed with us, and he won. And this is great. Joe Rogan believes in dragons. It’s just frantic.”

Despite these clashes, Rogan often keeps a cool demeanor and does not hold grudges. Regarding Behar’s comments, he later added, “I just want to say for the record, I have no hate for Joy Behar. If I saw her, I’d hug her. I’d probably say the same thing about me if I was her. It’s no big deal, I don’t care.”
However, following his recent critique of Jaguar’s controversial ad, some wonder if Rogan’s comments could create friction with another prominent figure/figures—the Jaguar top brass. His statement about the automaker’s focus on “selling a political ideology” rather than cars has already sparked debate. Whether this adds another high-profile name to Rogan’s list of detractors remains to be seen. What are your views on Jaguar’s polarising shift in their ventures? Tell us in the comment section below!
