Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, are the two biggest figures in MMA. UFC 229 PPV featuring them did a record 2.4 million PPV buys for the UFC. Though they share a record, these two don’t like each other. Thus, UFC President Dana White had to deal with a lot of issues in making this inside the octagon.
The build-up to their fight and the scene afterward was unprecedented. At UFC 223, Conor McGregor and a crew showed at the Barclays Center and did some damage to the UFC fighters’ bus.

UFC President did an interview addressing McGregor’s act and said that he was ‘disgusted’ with his actions. Also, He also suggested that McGregor should settle his issues with ‘The Eagle’ inside the octagon. Finally, he claimed that McGregor would definitely lose some of his fans with this horrendous stunt.
White failed to understand the reason behind his deed and said, “I don’t know, I don’t know if he’s on drugs or what his deal is. But to come and do this and act like this… You’re talking about a guy who has a baby; He just had a kid. This is how you’re acting? You have a son at home.”
UFC President and ‘The Notorious‘ share a good relationship. Thus, these words coming from White showed his unhappiness.

Even after Nurmagomedov’s win over McGregor at UFC 229, the fans of both the fighters showed interest in the rematch. Also, UFC President Dana White wanted to book the fight as he saw the rematch as a massive PPV for the UFC. However, ‘The Eagle‘ was not interested in the rematch and wanted ‘The Notorious’ to get a winning streak like him and earn the rematch.
The rematch between these two fighters would have been massive on the PPVs. However, after Nurmagomedov’s retirement, it remained a dream fight, for the fight fans.
