Retired UFC fighter, James Krause has landed himself in serious trouble since his alleged betting scandal has become public. The consequences of this have been severe. NSAC has suspended Krause‘s license, and the UFC has imposed a ban on fighters who will continue working with him. Things are not looking good for James Krause
During their podcast ‘Weighing In’, the UFC veteran Josh Thomson and MMA referee John McCarthy talked about the James Krause scandal and the investigation. Thomson commented, “He’s in for a lot, man. I mean, he’s looking at some serious jail time.” He explained the severity of the situation.
Additionally, John McCarthy stated that there are certain legal elements to this case that could cost Krause his freedom. He went on to detail the issue and talked about the investigating aspect of it, wherein Thomson provided more information regarding the inquiry against Krause.

Thomson stated, “They’re not just taking, like, what he said on that type of stuff, they’ve gone in and confiscated his iPads, his computers, his cell phones, his records, and then if you are someone like Minner(Darrick Minner), they’re doing the same thing to you.”
He also mentioned that according to his understanding, the FBI contacted Krause‘s gym and with that development, people may turn each other in, “It’s going to be a matter of time before everyone starts turning each other in. This is gonna get nasty.”
It is unquestionably a grave concern that could bring James Krause some serious damage.

How the betting scandal unfolded
Recently on the UFC fight night, Darrick Minner fought Shayilan Nuerdanbieke and lost the match. It is believed that his defeat raised the red flag that something was off. Just before the fight, a significant portion of the betting line was placed on Nuerdanbieke to win in the first round, which further prompted the necessary investigation on that part. Moreover, James Krauserevealed details about him betting on the fights during his interview with Ariel Helwani.

He claimed to wager on each and every card, and his betting-related Discord had over 2000 active users. The former fighter even went on to declare that he makes more money betting on MMA than anything else he does. This issue is indeed major and might have detrimental effects on James Krause.
