Number 6 ranked UFC bantamweight has a warning message for Adrian Yanez for their fight in Miami. The 135-pounder is on a two-fight winning streak which makes the fight important for the American fighter.

Rob Font said, “This is a big fight for me you know.” Font continued as he stated why he was out of the game after his loss to Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera last year. He added, “I took a year off. I needed it. You know I needed a year off to kind of recoup.”

Lastly, he commented on his opponent at UFC 287. Font said, “Adrian Yanez is uh, this dude is a killer. He’s got a lot of momentum on his side. He’s on a nine-fight win streak. I just hope he doesn’t sleep on me. It’s going to be a banger. This is a guaranteed fight of the night for sure.”

Rob Font shared a story as to why he started MMA

In a previous interview, the UFC bantamweight shared his story of joining the sport. In an inspiring turn of events, Font said that he was delivering pizzas to some houses, and the next thing he knew he started practicing MMA, and he was hooked.

Font narrated, “I was in Tampa, Florida, delivering pizzas. I want to say it was like a Saturday night. Delivered to a house. There was a couple of guys outside grappling doing jiu-jitsu... They kind of broke it down to me. I would say maybe two days later, I was in the gym trying a free week trial. … I was hooked.”
