UFC’s first-ever heavyweight champion, Mark Coleman, recently mentioned undergoing an emergency surgery. In a recent Instagram post, ‘The Hammer’ shared a post informing his fans and followers that he was getting discharged from the hospital. However, fans expressed their concern for the well-being of the Hall of Famer, urging him to slow down his physical activities.

Mark Coleman has never stopped going hard, even after his retirement. The former champion often resorts to measures that can be termed extreme when it comes to eating, following a carnivorous diet. Coleman’s condition seems to have deteriorated because of those measures. But now, in the wake of his getting out of the hospital, he expressed his thoughts about it on social media.

Almost 12 hours ago, ‘The Hammer’ posted a video, looking happy to have gotten out of the predicament he was in. He seemingly agreed to make some bad decisions in the past. Nevertheless, he is still focused on getting better since he was dealing with some type of infection.

“I’m out of the hospital. I’ll be on a pick line for six weeks. Sometimes the decisions we make are wrong but you gotta go with them gonna stay positive the hip feels strong I have to get rid of this infection it’s not septic Thank God,” Mark Coleman wrote.

However, ‘The Hammer’ did mention that he was going to get back to his old ways of following some of his old ways. Coleman added, “I’m out of the hospital. I’ll be on a pick line for six weeks. Sometimes the decisions we make are wrong but you gotta go with them gonna stay positive the hip feels strong I have to get rid of this infection it’s not septic Thank God.”

 This message has seemingly drawn concerning reactions from the fans on social media. Let’s see what they had to say.

Fans urge ‘The Hammer’ to ease up

The reactions from the fans indicated how much the fans believe Mark Coleman’s health has taken a hit. They advocated resorting to rest for the former UFC heavyweight champion until he can get back to his full health. All in all, fans were glad that they did not have to witness him being in the hospital anymore.

“God speed and get rest. As they always used to tell me…. Rest… the weights and training aren’t going anywhere”

“Glad you are finally out of the hospital, hope everything went well. TAKE IT EASY Hammer, you’re our Champ and we your fans are pulling for you and watching. We love you Hammer!!! HAMMER HOUSE FOR LIFE!!!”

Some suggested a change in profession for the former champion. Like many other combat sports athletes, fans expressed interest in seeing Coleman in a podcast setting. Nevertheless, they still suggested that he take some rest for the foreseeable future.

“Champ you need to see down and just do podcasts all day! The people want to hear your stories. Hh4l.”

“We all said you needed to rest. Please remember Mark you are a hero and inspiration to many. I look up to you and want to see you healthy and kicking ass Team Hammer House style love you Mark. Rest up champ.”

A user on Instagram suggested that Mark Coleman consider changing his diet by including greens and not just meat, given his current physical state. Others also requested that ‘The Hammer’ refrain from putting his body through too much labor. But there was one fan who thought Coleman’s issues could continue to be the same.

“Champ, I know you’re eating meats mostly, but there’s some good veggies you could eat that will help heal and fight off stuff.”

Mark Coleman is 59 years old and, understandably, after years of fighting and being hit by opponents, the body does show the damage it has suffered at such an age. Fans appeared to be concerned in that regard. However, Coleman looks to be in a better state after leaving the hospital and we hope to see him in high spirits in the future as well.
