Miller, a 16-year MMA veteran, entered the octagon for the thirty-ninth time on February 19, 2022. He took on UFC debutant Nikolas Motta in a fight that had the biggest gap in octagon experience in UFC history.

Miller entered the fight on the back of a devastating second-round knockout over Erick Gonzalez at UFC Vegas 40. And he continued the run against Motta.
