Conor McGregor’s journey to the octagon has been going through some terrains lately. The Irishman is scheduled to face his fellow TUF 31 coach Michael Chandler, but no one knows the date! Moreover, controversies and McGregor have been walking together hand in hand lately.

The Ultimate Fighter 31 is almost halfway through airing, and McGregor hasn’t even entered the USADA pool yet. According to the rules, all fighters must be in the testing pool for 6 months before fighting, which means that the ‘Notorious’ return is at least 6 months away!

Adding fuel to the fire, UFC Boss Dana White gave some controversial statements about USADA recently. Now, Michael Chandler appeared in an interview with TMZ Sports where he dropped some major updates about this fight.

Without any hesitation, ‘Iron Mike’ confirmed that his fight against the Irishman is happening. Although the former Bellator champ did not know the exact date, he was definitely aware of a timeline. However, Chandler stated he couldn’t disclose the date at this time, due to various obvious reasons.

“The fight is definitely happening. I’ve been telling people, this thing is set, we’re waiting to kind of put it all out there. I do not know, (but) I know there’s a decent kind of time frame but I can’t disclose and it’s not a pinpointed date. Obviously, there’s a lot of stuff going on, but just like Dana said this, fight this fight is happening.”

“We’re trying to get this thing figured out and we will hopefully have some answers for everybody pretty darn soon. But either way, I’m training because things are intensifying and we’re getting closer and closer!”
