Caio Borralho has emerged victorious. At UFC Fight Night: Almeida vs. Lewis, the fighter successfully tore down Abus Magomedov. After going at it for three rounds, the Brazilian won via a decision. However, for some fans, Magomedov’s performance was somewhat underwhelming.

After exchanging blows throughout the three rounds, Magomedov’s performance was easily outshined by Borralho’s. The latter landed better strikes and clearly did more damage. The hype train around the Russian fighter seems like it’s slowly coming to a halt. Meanwhile, Borralho found the time to call out a big fighter. Here’s how the fans reacted to it all.

During the match, Magomedov ended up on the wrong side of the mat as he lost via unanimous decision. Fans suspected intentions of foul play as the fighter did give Borralho an eye-poke but things did not ruin the Brazilian’s spirit or stamina. Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter.

Fans were clearly not happy with Magomedov’s underwhelming presence in the cage.

Even UFC fighter Jamahal Hill echoed support for the decision.

Meanwhile, others alleged that Magomedov quits a lot.

However, there were those who felt that the Russians should have won.

Meanwhile, Borralho called someone out and he did not aim low.

In the post-fight interview, Borralho decided to take big names. He challenged none other than Dricus Du Plessis to a fight right after winning against Magomedov. Some fans thought that it was just a bit too much to call out ‘The African King’ like that. Will Du Plessis accept the fight?

Du Plessis probably has bigger fish to fry

Borralho gave an interesting performance tonight. However, that may just not be enough to draw the attention of Du Plessis who’s currently the fan favorite contender for the middleweight title. Of course, there are also others like Khamzat Chimaev who could go for it. But according to Du Plessis, he’s not there to beg for anything.

“I’ve never begged for anything. I’ve fought for it . . . if you want to give Khamzat the title shot go right ahead. Because the Khamzat that fought (at UFC 294) loses to Sean Strickland every day of the week.” Du Plessis had said recently. The fighter is certain that the very confident Chimaev won’t last against Sean Strickland, the reigning champ. So if the two of them do face-off, who do you think will emerge as the winner?
