Many would consider Jamahal Hill a sore loser, after listening to the light heavyweight complain about how Alex Pereira cheated his way to victory at UFC 300. After he mistakenly landed a groin kick on ‘Poatan’, Hill believed that he’d get some time off. And when he put his guard down, Pereira closed the distance. This seemingly gave him the chance to send ‘Sweet Dreams’ into the shadow realm. On top of that, he also put the blame on referee Herb Dean. According to him, the referee should have noticed the apparently foul move. Needless to say, this attracted a heavy backlash from the fighting community.
Then came a time when Hill had enough of the heat and took to social media to call out the fans who were trashing him up for a sparring session. He even put up $20K as a reward for the one who comes up to spar with him. He said, “All of y’all that’s talking on these posts and all of this s*** and talking this and that, I’ve got twenty bands. Pull up to the gym, bro. Come get paid. I know y’all broke and need it.”
On top of that, “Sweet Dreams’ had become meme material with Pereira’s celebration (mimicking Khaby Lame) going viral all around the internet. No wonder, Hill wasn’t happy about it. In the comments section of one of the posts showing Pereira’s UFC 300 celebration, Hill lashed out at the fans. He pointed out that even though he knocked Johnny Walker out, he showed respect. He stopped the fans booing Walker. But things were different with Pereira. He wrote, “[Alex Pereira] you really setup a punch you couldn’t get to without some weak s— but it ok because you will fight me against and my eyes won’t leave you until your as stiff as Izzy left you in Miami!!”

Months later, ESPN MMA and SportsCenter brought these stories back to the frontlines, through a post on Instagram. But Jamahall Hill wasn’t going to leave his story unheard. He took to the comments section and wrote, “7 months later and 1000 wolf tickets and not one pull up move along!!!”

Hill succeeded in attracting quite some challenges from the fighting universe with his resurfaced video. Dillon Danis, the retired Bellator FC contender, accepted the challenge for $20 grand and commented, “Let’s do it I’ll match it winner takes all.” Soon, the fight fans took to the comments, and things kept going south.

What do the fight fans think of Jamahal Hill’s open challenge after losing to Alex Pereira?
Well, the fighting community didn’t want to drop off a chance of earning $20K and meeting ‘Sweet Dreams’. One fan wrote, “i’ll gladly take that offer.” Another fan commented, “I’m a Jamahal hill supporter and I’d take that 20K and get knocked tf out.“ However, most of them believed that the light heavyweight became an unlikeable entity following his loss against Alex Pereira. One fan commented, “He became so unlikable so fast man.” Another comment read, “This guy is single handling making himself the most dislikeable fighter for no reason.”
Some of the fans dissed the #3 light heavyweight contender for challenging fans instead of fighters. A comment read, “Bro wants to fight with fans but not with fighters.” Meanwhile, a few others pointed out that all Hill was doing was living in the past. A comment read, “You the type to lie awake at night. Thinking if only I took an extra step back.”

A few others dug up the dirt from Hill’s confrontation with Pereira at the UFC PI. The two were almost ready to put on the gloves and settle their scores in the gym. Thankfully, things were cooled down. But the fight fans remember how Hill lost his chance to fight ‘Poatan’ back in December 2024. One fan wrote, “So he’ll PAY $20k to spar a fan, but won’t spar Alex even if its free.” Another fan pointed out, “Alex accepted for free and he got scared.”
