Will UFC 309 be the “last rodeo” for the legendary duo of Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones? Is there a chance that Tom Aspinall gets his desired title fight? All these questions have been rummaging in people’s minds lately. However, thanks to Dana White, we now have a set path of what could happen after the iconic heavyweight faceoff inside the octagon.
During a recent interview with TNT, the UFC CEO disclosed what he thought was going to happen after this event. He said, ” I truly believe that whoever wins this fight I just; competitively the way that these guys are wired, and the reason they are both massive legends on the sport. They are not gonna just ride off into the sunset without settling the dispute with Tom Aspinall. Also, when you think about Jon Jones becoming the youngest champion in heavyweight history, and all the things that Stipe has accomplished, they were given opportunities; you know when they were young, and I think that they will reciprocate.”

Aspinall also weighed in on the potential matchup between Jones and Miocic, giving it similarly even odds, though he didn’t overlook Miocic’s formidable knockout power, which has been a game-changer for many of his opponents. However, Jon Jones may face additional challenges beyond Miocic’s power, as rumors are circulating that he could be dealing with health issues.
Does Jones have a staph infection before his UFC 309 bout?
In a video shared by ESPN MMA via Jon Jones’ Instagram, the champ was seen training for the upcoming bout and was wearing a T-shirt and trousers amidst his training. However, his moves looked disorganized and sloppy and fans declared under the video that this version of ‘Bones’ could be easily beaten by Aspinall. However, the comment that caught the community’s attention was a remark left by infamous BJJ practitioner Dillon Danis.

Will Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones settle scores with Tom Aspinall, or ride into the sunset?
Have an interesting take?
Danis wrote, “[He’s definitely] covering staph or something unless he [is] keeping the cr**khead look going”. This has made the fans start worrying about the worst-case scenario because it was around this time last year that Jones withdrew from his anticipated bout with Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 due to a torn pectoral tendon. Now the thing is, Danis, is known to make rumors and jokes like this to start online beef with fighters so this might all be a farce. However, given the other videos of Jones circulating the internet, he seems to be ready for the fight.
