As the undefeated favorite to dethrone the strawweight queen, Suarez was confident that her wrestling would be enough to overcome the Chinese superstar. Oh, how wrong she was! ‘Magnum’ brutally punished Suarez to successfully defend her title and hand the Covina, California native the first loss of her career. After laying low for a few days, Suarez has come forward to break her social media silence with a bittersweet message.

Facing the first defeat of her career, Tatiana Suarez took to her Instagram handle to upload a series of photographs and captioned it with a wistful message for her fans, “Champions don’t show up to get everything they want; they show up to give everything they have. And that’s what I’ll do every single time. No matter what! I love it all. Win, lose, or draw, I’m right where I want to be.”

The former title challenger further emphasized that she is living her dream every single day, surrounded by nothing but unwavering support from her colleagues. Thanking for every support from her fans, Suarez explained that she felt it all-thrill, agony, joy, heartbreak—but every moment has shaped her. “Thank you to my friends, family, teammates, coaches, and fiancé for being there every single time no matter what. Love you guys! On to the next,” added Suarez.

You might have heard of Valkyries—strong women who guide the departed souls to Valhalla. Well, Tatiana Suarez is nothing short of a Valkyrie herself. Battling thyroid cancer and then remaining undefeated in her MMA career until her loss to Zhang Weili is no small feat. The MMA community and fans alike are certain that this minor setback is nothing for a warrior like her.

UFC world unites to pour love for Tatiana Suarez after UFC 312 defeat

Starting off, it was former flyweight champion, Alex Grasso, who had nothing but love for her colleague as she poured out love for her former opponent by adding heart emojis. That’s not all, Amanda Ribas also chimed in to share her love by praising the former strawweight challenger. Following them, it was Suarez’s fiancee, Patchy Mix who came forward to express his love for her, “I love you, Tatiana.”

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate had a heartwarming message for Tatiana Suarez, “You’re a beast Tatiana we all love watching you do what you do loser we still got your back.” That’s not all as even Cris Cyborg joined in to pour some love for  Suarez, “You are so young! You’ve got so many goals and accomplishments coming your way, keep the.”
