The Stockton resident, Nate Diaz has found himself trapped in a street altercation. The former UFC contender engaged in a heated brawl with an influencer, Chase DeMoor, at the Misfits Boxing 6. Soon, things took an ugly turn as the heat traveled outside the arena. Diaz allegedly choked Rodney Peterson, a man who happened to look like Logan Paul. Nevertheless, the fighter was charged with a second-degree battery charge.

Recently, Jorge Masvidal voiced his opinion on the altercation in an interview with Mike Bohn. He shared that his lawyer was interested in defending Diaz. Furthermore, Masvidal opined on the situation and said that Diaz did it in self-defense. As the quote found its way to Facebook, the fans took to the comments section and bashed Masvidal for his altercation with Colby Covington, in Miami.

Fans diss Jorge Masvidal after he supports Nate Diaz

In a recent interview with MMA Fighting’s Mike Bohn, Masvidal shared his opinion about Diaz’s street altercation. He not only offered a helping hand to the Stockton native but also defended him by saying that Diaz did what he did in self-defense. He said, “What it looked like to me is this dude ran up on Nate, and you’ve got to respect every threat. It looked like it was self-defense. … I just want to say: You can’t run up on people. You can’t violate people’s personal space, and feel it’s cool to get away with.”

MMA Fighting shared Masvidal’s quotes on Facebook. Immediately, the MMA fans began sharing their thoughts in the comments section. However, most fans criticized ‘Gamebred Fighter’ as he did the exact same thing to Covington. Without a doubt, the entire comments section was filled with comments that bashed Masvidal.

  • While I agree, it’s hilarious coming from the sucker punch king.
  • Probably the last guy that should chime in on this situation. However, I do agree with him lol
  • just another street hero that thought he could mix it with a legit killer got what he deserved
  • Hes talking truth , based on his personal experience
  • He ain’t wrong but it’s a bit rich and ironic coming from someone who assaults fighters he can’t beat on the streets

Nevertheless, the former UFC star pleaded his innocence through his representative by stating that he committed the violent act as a form of self defense.

Diaz acted in self-defense

Zach Rosenfield, Diaz’s representative, issued a statement that Diaz acted entirely in self-defense after being “aggressively pursued” by Peterson. Furthermore, it was also revealed that Peterson practiced jiu-jitsu and held a blue belt.
