Holding the championship title in one division is impressive enough. If a fighter holds titles in two divisions across the UFC, then he is definitely something else. Henry Cejudo is a UFC legend who has held championship titles in both the Flyweight and the Bantamweight divisions in UFC.
After a great run, Cejudo stepped down back in 2020. However, after 3 years, he made a comeback in 2023 but lost the match to Aljamain Sterling. While his story before retirement was one of the history books, his return was less than impressive, especially when you take into consideration the stature of Henry Cejudo.

The idea that being an athlete or a fighter means your business acumen has to be nil, is misplaced and couldn’t be further from the truth. A classic example of a great fighter and businessman is Henry Cejudo, who made the right calls which catapulted him to unimaginable levels of success. Another example would be Conor McGregor, who he says, would be his first pick when it comes to calling out fighters. In an exclusive interview with The Schmo, on YouTube, Cejudo addresses the concern of fighters not calling out the big cats and getting a big payday out of a fight card.
When the interviewer asked Cejudo if he believed Conor McGregor would actually come out of his sweet sabbatical to take on Michael Chandler, the former Flyweight champion said, “Yeah, I think he does and I think sometimes he’s… People need to recognize and realize that if a… If the champion wants somebody he is able to create a storyline – the UFC could make it happen. Like if I was a champion at 170 or 55, Conor would be the first dude I would be calling out. That’s a $10 million dollar payday, you know. That’s what you get when you fight a Conor McGregor.”
Cejudo is of the opinion that fighters like Leon Edwards might have a tough chin and know how to land a punch, but they lack the smartness to scale the ranks and get a bigger payday. “These guys, Leon Edwards – he has to sell that fight, you know what I’m saying? He has to call for it and ask for it, you know what I mean? Conor… You know, It’s a payday. Don’t let your ego get the best of you. These dudes – they don’t understand business. They’re really dumb, but whatever.”
