The boxing legend, Mike Tyson, feels that the MMA moves are quite tricky when compared to boxing. “Iron Mike” is considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. However, he never tried his hands in an MMA fight, which makes him feel that it takes a lot of effort to win a match. The 56-year-old thought that it would be an enormous task to learn the facet of wrestling to be a part of any MMA fights.

Moreover, he believed that one should have excellent grappling skills to establish themselves as a great fighter. It might take Tyson a great deal of time to catch up with the MMA moves, which are mostly a combination of wrestling, jiu-jitsu, and kickboxing.

There are some boxing legends who have tried their hands at MMA fights. One of them was James Toney. When it comes to boxing, Tony was the middleweight, super middleweight, and cruiserweight champion. He squared off against Randy Couture at UFC 118. However, “The Natural” won the fight via submission in the very first round. Ray Mercer and Holly Holm are other examples. Nevertheless, Holly Holm is the only boxing champion in history who has also become a UFC champion. Recently, Iron Mike was seen reacting to the MMA fights, and he wondered how tiring it would be to wrestle!

Tyson talks about the most difficult MMA discipline

In a video uploaded by ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’. The 56-year-old was talking with the partial owner of PFL, Wiz Khalifa, who is also a legendary rapper. The co-host of DJ Whoo Kid also joined the two. Three of them sat together to watch the top 10 2022 PFL championship moments. While watching the fights, Tyson could not resist saying, They don’t believe how tired you get from wrestling…holding a guy like this for ten five minutes, oh a minute.

“Iron Mike” felt that wrestling is indeed the toughest part of MMA. He has great respect for fighters who beat their opponents with their strength. The legendary boxer has stepped foot into the ring for exhibition bouts, so is there a chance he tries his hand in MMA?

Will Mike Tyson try his hands in MMA?

Mike Tyson retired from his boxing career in 2005. His last professional win was in 2003 when he won the match within 49 seconds into the first round via knockout.

Nonetheless, Tyson lost his matches in 2004 and 2005, which forced him to retire. Iron Mike is still a huge part of combat sports, and he loves watching MMA.
