“They Are Still Coming Up Trying to Get an Autograph” – MMA Legend Furious at UFC’s Welterweight Division for Not Storming Conor McGregor After Latest Kamaru Usman Callout

Conor McGregor recently called out UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Even the champion was quick to respond to the callout and posted a creepy tweet. In addition, he has shown interest in fighting McGregor previously.

However, MMA legend Chael Sonnen is concerned about the UFC’s welterweight division and gave them the advice to conquer the situation and not sit back and watch the show.

Sonnen said, “There’s not a 70 pounder out there that’s going to say ‘Conor, you want to come to this division, you come see me.’ They just don’t think that way, they won’t see it. They’ll all go, ‘Oh, he’s a much bigger star than me if Conor comes up…’”

Sonnen questioned the welterweight division and said, “Where’s the competing? How about sharpening up your skills?… Conor is not only going to get this call out and show bravery against Kamaru Usman. He’s gonna get a response from the champ.”

Sonnen also pointed out that the rest of the fighters still don’t show the same attitude when they are around ‘The Notorious‘. He said, “He will not get any push back from the other guys in the locker room… When Conor walks into the locker room, they are still coming up trying to get an autograph and a selfie. Still talking about, Oh, let me snap a picture, you’re my grandma’s favorite fighter champ.”

Kamaru Usman doesn’t refuse to fight anybody; Thus, a PPV bout with the Irish superstar is definitely something he would relish.

‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is a phenomenal wrestler and has a longer reach than ‘The Notorious’. The pound-for-pound king, predominantly in his fights against Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal, looked phenomenal on his feet. In addition, Usman is a big welterweight, whereas McGregor barely makes 170.

All these attributes make McGregor a big undergo against the welterweight champion.

However, ‘The Notorious’ has previously proved his doubters wrong and has exceeded the expectations whilst capturing the two UFC titles.
