Joe Rogan dropped a way out for vegans to enjoy animal protein without compromising their principles. The UFC commentator, who is constantly experimenting with his diet to achieve peak fitness levels, believes a carnivore diet can do wonders. Once he himself adopted the diet for a month and experienced phenomenal results. His energy levels were up and he lost all of his fat. The diet also improved his vitiligo. The standup comic, since then, on multiple occasions, emphasized the benefits of the carnivore diet.

The 55-year-old has often candidly admitted on his popular podcast how the carnivore diet has helped him physically and mentally. The conversation about food and its impact on the human body is a recurrent theme on JRE. Likewise, he recently discussed how a change in diet can drastically alter one’s fitness as he sat down with fellow comedian, Gabriel Iglesias.

Joe Rogan suggests a way around for vegans

The guest comic turned around his life and recalled his weight loss journey that started with him altering his food habits. ‘Fluffy’ revealed he adopted a healthy lifestyle and took proper meals. The duo amusingly also discussed their favorite food locations in Ep.#2001 of JRE. In the same conversation, the color commentator recalled how his wife got food poisoning from oysters.

The famed podcaster then suggested how oysters, scallops, and clams are “good” for vegans. While they provide animal protein, they don’t fall under the category of animals. These primitive beings lack consciousness and thus offer a better alternative.

He said, “They say oysters, and scallops, and clams are good for vegans because if you think about it, they are not really an animal. But they give you animal protein. Like scallops are more primitive than plants. Like they are really primitive things.”

“They are not feeling jack sh*t. They are kind of like a plant, but they are a plant that moves. But they are not a plant. They are mollusk[s]. But they don’t have a brain. Like, whatever that is, it is some sort of meat on the shell,” he added later.

These thoughts of the noted TV presenter align with his repeated claims about the carnivore diet. His most recent comments came in Ep. #1994 of JRE when he gave Theo Von an update on the carnivore diet.
