It’s a tough challenge to shift from amateur to professional level. However, the 27-year-old Bo Nickal, who started his MMA journey just two years ago, has made an outstanding transition into MMA. Currently, Nickal is unbeaten in the UFC with a record of 5-0. However, during the interview, Rogan pointed out why the unranked fighters will never “bridge the gap.”

On his podcast, Rogan said: “Watching you compete, everyone knew you got something special. And then you got like, hey, I am f*cking 1 in 1. I don’t wanna fight that guy. I need to learn. There are a lot of guys that are gonna look at that match. It’s just not right for me at the moment.”

He added: “Realistically, there are some guys competing unless they have some monumental breakthrough or unless they leave the training camp and move into a completely new environment and get totally new coaches and radically restructure their life. They are never gonna bridge that gap.”

Nickal, one of the rising stars in the UFC, initially pursued a career in wrestling and then shifted to MMA. While the 27-year-old has little experience inside the Octagon, he remains a menace for his opponents. But what’s next for the fighter?
